Back to the Heart of It ❤️
Sometimes it's good to take off the manager hat and step into a caregiver’s shoes. It keeps me grounded and reminds me of why I do what I do — and why our whole team does what we do.
At the core of it all is something simple: we care. And we believe that everyone deserves exceptional care and support, especially when it helps them stay in the place they love most — their own home.
Today I had the privilege of supporting A and J, two incredible people who’ve been with us for over two years. Both are determined to stay in their homes — and we’re here to make that possible.
I learned more about life during World War II, heard stories about university days and old friendships… and made sure there were drinks and snacks ready for J when she woke up, since mobility can make that tricky.
My favourite moment? Making tea for A — in a proper cup and saucer, just how she likes it. 🫖💛
It’s the little things that matter. And days like this are the biggest reminders of why we do what we do.
