Back to the Heart of It ❤️
Sometimes it's good to take off the manager hat and step into a caregiver’s shoes. It keeps me grounded and reminds me of why I do what I do — and why our whole team does what we do.
At the core of it all is something simple: we care. And we believe that everyone deserves exceptional care and support, especially when it helps them stay in the place they love most — their own home.
Today I had the privilege of supporting A and J, two incredible people who’ve been with us for over two years. Both are determined to stay in their homes — and we’re here to make that possible.
I learned more about life during World War II, heard stories about university days and old friendships… and made sure there were drinks and snacks ready for J when she woke up, since mobility can make that tricky.
My favourite moment? Making tea for A — in a proper cup and saucer, just how she likes it. 🫖💛
It’s the little things that matter. And days like this are the biggest reminders of why we do what we do.

So glad I wasn’t in the judges’ shoes at the Caregivers Got Talent Finals in Birmingham on Thursday — what an incredible showcase of talent and some seriously tough decisions to make! 🎤✨
We brought along some of our amazing caregivers who were able to attend and turned it into a lovely team social. It was a fantastic evening full of joy, laughter, and celebration of the incredible people in our care community.
A huge thank you to Dan Archer of Visiting Angels UK for dreaming up this ‘mad idea’ and making it a reality and a big cheers to our fantastic Head Office team for all the planning and organising — two years running now, and what a success! 💙

✨ Great afternoon with the Occupational Therapy team at Warwick Hospital!

It was fantastic to meet such an engaged and passionate team, all focused on the same goal: helping people across South Warwickshire return home safely and confidently after a hospital stay.

We’re here to support smoother hospital discharges by:
🏡 Making sure the home is safe and ready
🛒 Ensuring food and essentials are available
💊 Organising medication
🚗 Arranging the journey home with a caregiver
🧑‍⚕️ Setting up ongoing support visits at home

Lovely to meet you all and answer your brilliant questions! Let’s keep working together to help people live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

It was a very busy day yesterday between client assessments, meetings, updating the schedules and the day to day dealing with caregivers and clients. Just before I left the office I thought I haven't even opened my post today - so glad I did, receiving a hand written note with feedback like this is the driving force behind what we do! Exceptional care and support services delivered by exceptional caregivers! Yes, it's long hours, yes it's hard work but knowing we've made such a positive difference by supporting someone to spend their final days/weeks/months at home surrounded by their family is all the reward and motivation we need to ensure our services continue to reach as many people as possible 💙

I popped into the Co-Op in Henley In Arden today and came across a rep from Guide Dogs UK. Bless him, he was sitting in the heat in temperatures over 30 degrees with an umbrella to provide some shade. We have been planning to sponsor a puppy for a while but it was one of those things you mean to do but never get round to! Having provided support services to people with visual impairment I totally understand the difference a guide dog can make and the short supply there is, one of our clients has been waiting for over 4 years for her next guide dog! So I took the opportunity and signed up and we now proudly sponsor Leo through his training as a guide dog. Look out for regular updates about Leo and his progress 🥰
