🌷 Out & About with Bluebird Care ( Stratford & Warwick)🌷

What a lovely day we had making the most of the sunshine! ☀️ Our group enjoyed a visit to Warwick Garden Centre, where there was plenty to explore — from beautiful indoor and outdoor plants to clothing, food, and gifts.

After a good browse, we all warmed up with a drink and a chat in the café — the perfect way to round off the outing.

🌸 International Women’s Day – Celebrating Anne’s Story 🌸

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible women we support — including Anne, one of our wonderful customers.

Anne has always been described as curious, capable and always wanting to learn. From playing netball in her younger years to pursuing a career in architecture in a male-dominated field, Anne embraced life with determination and curiosity.

One of her proudest moments was presenting her work at the Royal Institute of British Architects in London, where her talent was recognised by the panel reviewing her portfolio.

Today, living with MS brings new challenges, but Anne’s curiosity and spirit remain strong. With support from the Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick team, she continues exploring the world in new ways and enjoys sharing stories, photos and laughter with her carers.

Anne reminds us that strength isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s about continuing to learn, adapt and stay curious about life.

📚 World Book Day – Celebrating Jill’s Story 📚

This World Book Day, we’re celebrating Jill, one of our wonderful customers at Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick, and her love of writing and storytelling.

Jill was introduced to autobiographical writing while studying creative writing at Warwick University. Inspired by this, she wrote her own autobiography at just eighteen, reflecting on her experiences growing up as one of the first disabled children in Kenilworth to attend a mainstream school.

She also helped preserve her family’s history by bringing her grandmother’s handwritten diary — documenting her journey to America between 1914 and 1924 — to life alongside photographs and letters from that time.

Jill believes that everyone’s story matters, not just the stories of famous people.

🚗✨ Out & About with Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick! ✨🚗

Our latest monthly Out & About adventure took us to the fantastic British Motor Museum in Gaydon — right at the heart of the Midlands’ rich motoring heritage. With the region’s proud history of car manufacturing, it was the perfect place to spend the day reminiscing and exploring together.

Meryl, Margaret and Graham were joined by our wonderful Home Care Associate and Wellbeing Champion, Tracie, while Erica hosted the trip.

From admiring the incredible exhibits to getting hands-on with the props and even touching some of the cars, there was plenty to spark memories and conversation. 🚘 Many stories were shared as we made our way around!

We rounded off the visit with a trip to the café — enjoying a cuppa, good company, and of course, a good giggle along the way.

Everyone said how interesting the museum was, and most importantly, how lovely it was to spend the day together.

Following on from Love Your Pet Day, we wanted to share another wonderful story about how home care helps keep people and their beloved pets together 🐾💙

Meet Elizabeth and her very special companion, Bubbles.

Bubbles is a retired guide dog mum, now 10 years old, who previously played an incredible role in supporting people who are blind. During her time as a guide dog breeding dog, she gave birth to an amazing 41 puppies — many of whom have gone on to become life-changing guide dogs. What an achievement!

Elizabeth receives regular care and support from our Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick team. Last year, while she was recovering from an illness, we increased our support to provide live-in care. This meant we could not only look after Elizabeth around the clock, but also ensure Bubbles’ daily walks, feeding, and care routines continued without disruption.

We know how integral Bubbles is to Elizabeth’s happiness and wellbeing, and keeping them together at home was our absolute priority. Supporting the whole household — four-legged family members included — is all part of delivering truly person-centred care.

Because home isn’t just a place — it’s where the love is.

Following on from Love Your Pet Day last week, we wanted to share a little story about how home care can help you continue enjoying the moments that matter most — including precious time with your pets 🐾💙

This is Betty and her beloved “granddog,” Elsie. Elsie visits most days for doggy day care, and it’s safe to say she brings just as much joy to our team as she does to Betty!

Our carers understand how important these visits are. They’re always on hand to make sure Elsie has plenty of fresh water, lots of fuss, and of course plenty of cuddles. Supporting our customers to maintain the routines and relationships that mean so much to them is what home care is all about.

🐶💙 Love Your Pet Day at Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick – The Dogs Edition! 💙🐶

Now it’s time for some wagging tails and happy faces!

First up we have Tubs, who belongs to our amazing Home Care Professional and Mentor, Jenny Masters, celebrating an incredible 15 years of service with us 👏💙

Tubs is a rescue dog who came from abroad and has the sweetest nature. We absolutely love a rescue story, and Tubs has clearly found the perfect forever home with Jenny.

Alongside Tubs, we had the mighty… Hulk! 💪

Hulk was (very ironically!) named for his unimpressive size 😂 but what he lacks in stature, he makes up for in personality. He certainly made himself at home — even managing to sniff out and secure a chip while he was here! 🍟

And finally, say hello to Roxy, our Lead Senior and Coordinator’s adorable Labrador puppy 🐾✨
Full of energy and mischief, Roxy brought plenty of puppy joy to the office today.

It’s been a fantastic Love Your Pet Day seeing so many of our team’s beloved companions. Pets really do bring so much happiness — both at home and at work!

Next up in our Love Your Pet Day pet parade is the wonderfully unique Chilli 🔥

Chilli is a female Regal Jumping Spider (also known as Phidippus regius) and she belongs to Kimmy, the daughter of our very own superstar Kay!

Don’t let her tiny size fool you — Chilli has a big personality and has definitely been the most fascinating visitor in the office today. She’s even come prepared with her favourite snack… mealworms 🐛😋 (because every queen needs a packed lunch!).

Here is Chilli enjoying her lunch, and trust us… she’s an absolute cutie!

This Friday we’re celebrating Love Your Pet Day, and our office has been feeling extra fluffy and fabulous!
First up in our pet spotlight is Erica and her beautiful giant rabbit, Big Bun 🐰✨
Big Bun certainly lives up to the name – and has been hopping into the hearts of the whole team! From those adorable twitching whiskers to those impressively long ears, it’s safe to say Big Bun has been enjoying all the extra fuss and attention today.

At Bluebird Care Stratford & Warwick, we know just how important pets are to the people we support and to our team too. They bring comfort, companionship, and lots of smiles – just like Big Bun has done for us today!
