As well as producing more traditional style coffins we have embraced the contemporary with our Reflections Picture Coffin range and Natural Legacy Wool Coffins as well as bamboo, wicker, seagrass and other alternative coffin ranges.

A huge congratulations to Kara on successfully passing her Level 3 Multi-Channel Marketing Apprenticeship! 🎉👏

We are incredibly proud of everything she has achieved throughout her journey at JC Atkinson. Kara is beyond proud of her success and is excited to continue growing within the business and developing her career even further.

Reflecting on her journey, Kara said:
“JC Atkinson offered me the opportunity to progress into a different area of the business as I developed from my role as a Business Administrator Apprentice into a Digital Marketing Apprentice. The new knowledge, skills and experience I have gained through my apprenticeship has been highly insightful and has significantly improved my abilities to carry out my job role. From a basic understanding of digital marketing, I am now in a position to independently carry out roles that help improve the business. I am very grateful for JC Atkinson to have allowed me this opportunity, that has not only helped with my growth, but the growth of the business too as we approach a more forward-thinking and innovative culture.”

Our Northern Sales Representative, Scott Gordon, recently attended the Professional Practice Seminar at Lelley Fields Crematorium.

Scott was pleased to speak with Clive Pearson, President of the BIFD.

The seminar was an excellent and informative event, providing a valuable opportunity to hear insightful discussions, share ideas, and connect with professionals from across the funeral sector. Events like these are always a great way to strengthen relationships within the industry and continue learning from one another.

Today, our Central Sales Representative Simon Heath is attending the Trafford Council Bereavement Fayre in support of National Dying Matters Week, alongside Altrincham Crematorium.

The event is open to both the public and Funeral Directors, offering a welcoming space to have important conversations around end-of-life planning and support.

Great to see our Central Sales Representative, Simon Heath, attending the Nottingham, Derby & District National Association of Funeral Directors Association meeting.

With 22 attendees, the evening offered a valuable opportunity to network with local funeral directors, reconnect with familiar faces, and hear first-hand about current issues and concerns within the profession.

It was also a privilege to receive an update from the NAFD Directors, with current President Darryl Smith in attendance sharing insights from the National Office.

A really worthwhile evening staying connected with the wider funeral industry.

Great to attend the Coventry & District National Association of Funeral Directors Guild meeting last night, where Simon Heath, our Central Sales Representative, joined over 20 industry professionals for an evening of lively discussion, valuable insights, and excellent networking opportunities.

A huge thank you to Joel from Joel Lowson for spending time with us last week capturing new photography and videography content here at JC Atkinson.

Working in a live manufacturing environment is never the easiest setting, but Joel was incredible to work with throughout the process. His patience, professionalism and calm approach made everything feel efficient, easy and seamless from start to finish.

We’re incredibly excited about what this content means for the future of JCA and can’t wait to share the amazing shots and footage we captured.

Our Central Sales Representative, Simon Heath, attended the Midlands Area National Association of Funeral Directors meeting last night at The Greswolde Arms Hotel.

With just over 20 people in attendance, it was a well-supported and informative evening. There were lively discussions around mental health in the workplace and the NAFD Code of Practice, both incredibly important topics for our profession.

We always value opportunities like these to stay connected with colleagues across the industry and keep up to date with the conversations that matter most.

Thank you to everyone involved in organising another excellent event.
