We’re always grateful to hear how our products are supporting funeral directors and the families they serve.

A big thank you to Paul Brown from A. Wass Funeral Directors for sharing his thoughts on the Guardian Casket range:
“The Guardian casket range is excellent and it gives families I’m dealing with a great variety in choice when they come to selection and the costs are very fair.”

Providing choice, quality and value is at the heart of what we do at JC Atkinson. Our Guardian caskets are designed to give funeral directors a dependable option when presenting families with meaningful choices.

Thank you to Paul and the team at A. Wass Funeral Directors for your continued support.

Our Willow Ashes Caskets are hand-woven in Somerset using sustainably grown willow from traditional local farms.

Each piece reflects the landscape of the Somerset Levels where the willow is grown and harvested. The willow is carefully sorted and graded by hand to maintain the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Every ashes casket includes a nameplate and a handmade cotton drawstring ashes pouch, and is available in five distinctive styles: Southlake, Quantock, Moorland, Mendip, and Rainbow.

A beautifully crafted, natural tribute created with care and sustainability in mind.

Last night, Nigel Green-Smith attended the Kent National Association of Funeral Directors Meeting at Barham Crematorium & Memorial Garden.

The meeting covered a range of important topics currently shaping the funeral profession, with a particular focus on standards and best practice.

A key highlight of the evening was guest speaker Simon Lawrence, NAFD Standard & Quality Manager, who spoke about overseeing the induction of the Quality and Compliance Code of Practice for NAFD members across London and the Southeast.

Behind the celebration 🎪✨

Our annual Oasis picnic may look effortless on the day — but here’s a little glimpse at what made it so special.

🚌 8 buses brought everyone together to the amusement park.
🍲 Caterers cooked on-site in massive pots, preparing fresh meals throughout the day.
🎶 Bollywood and Bengali music filled the air.
🎪 An ornate tent was set up, bursting with colour, laughter and conversation.

Food is always at the heart of Oasis celebrations — with a hot breakfast followed by a delicious lunch of pulao rice, chicken, mutton, fish kebabs and salad.

The colours of the day were unforgettable. Women wore stunning sarees, men dressed proudly in traditional Punjabis, and the whole space felt vibrant and alive.

One of the most meaningful moments? Watching members of our management team serve food to production staff — a simple but powerful reminder that appreciation and respect run deep at Oasis.

We also honoured five production staff for their excellent attendance, and were treated to a moving performance by our electrician, who wrote and sang a song about how working at Oasis has positively impacted his family’s life.

And as the sun began to set, everyone came together on the dance floor. No titles. No ranks. Just one community celebrating side by side.

We went home tired, happy and incredibly proud. 💚

Did you know?

It’s been six months since our Parsons factory opened its doors — and we couldn’t be prouder of the progress made so far.

With brand-new machinery now fully operational, we’ve been able to bring even more of our coffin manufacturing in-house. The result? Greater efficiency, smoother processes, and continued innovation in how we create our products.

It’s exciting to see the difference investment in technology can make — and this is only the beginning.
