Suzanne Wigmore Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist A Jing Method™ Advance Clinical Massage Therapist

Based in the Shrivenham area

As a Jing Method™ Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist, based in Shrivenham, I work in a local clinic and mobile throughout the Vale of the White Horse. Using an outcome-based methodology, I have helped many clients suffering with a wide range of chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. These have included such complaints as: low back pain, neck pain, headaches, frozen shoulder, whiplash, sporting

injuries, as well as aiding their mental wellbeing. I use a whole-body approach, working with you to understand your needs and develop a unique treatment plan. Having first qualified in 2013, I have completed a variety of training, including Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Swedish Massage and I can adapt all these styles for Pregnant clients. By employing a range of safe and effective soft tissue and massage techniques, over a course of 1 to 6 sessions, I seek to reduce pain and increase your range of motion. You may also notice other benefits such as improved sleep and becoming more able to carry out your normal daily activities. I will also support you through the process by providing stretching and tailored self-care, so you can continue to progress away from the treatment room. I am caring and compassionate and always take the time to fully support your recovery.

Recommendations are the best way to find a therapist you love. 🥰

Also, I do a happy dance every time I get a good review. 💃 If you have had a treatment with me and feel you could leave me a review on my google page, I would be really grateful. 🙏

Look at this medal! 🌺 🌼

The sun shone for a beautiful Cheltenham 10 mile! My first 10 mile race and I can say it is definitely shorter than a half marathon! 😂🙌💪

What a great way to start spring-long may the sun continue to shine. ☀️

The mind plays tricks on you! 🤪

Having spent a very fun day it makes you realise, your brain is very clever, but also very stupid. It interprets things based on the information given, even though rationally we know it is not correct. I know Heidi is not taller than me, but this picture would tell you differently.

When it comes to our bodies, often we know there is no damage and yet we still feel pain. This is the brain playing tricks on you.

If you would like more information on how to explain your pain, get in touch.

I am in the process of updating my website (thanks to my newfound SEO knowledge), and while reviewing my About page, I thought it would be nice to share a little about myself, and how I got here, for anyone new to my page.
So, this is me...

🏴 Originally from Dumfries & Galloway in South West Scotland
📚 Studied Manufacturing Engineering at Durham University, where I also learned to row
🚙 Worked for Jaguar Land Rover in Warwickshire and joined Stratford-Upon-Avon Boat Club
🥰 Discovered sports massage as a way to support my lower back while rowing
💷 Left Jaguar Land Rover to join Lloyds Banking Group, traveling around the country while fitting in rowing and running whenever I could
👩‍❤️‍👨 Married Ed, retired from rowing, and took up running more seriously, continuing to use sports massage as a recovery technique
🤰 While pregnant with Flora, I decided to train as a massage therapist—helpfully funded by Lloyds
🇩🇪 Later, while pregnant with Heidi, we moved to Germany, where I left Lloyds and became a full-time mum
👐 After three years of mumming (with a bit of running), I decided to turn my passion for massage into a business
🏠 Started off as a mobile therapist, then, due to COVID, rented a treatment room—eventually leading to my own clinic
🧐 Always eager to learn, I achieved the highest massage qualification in the UK with Jing Institute of Massage & Complementary Medicine (BTEC Level 6)
📖 Wrote a dissertation on how massage can help postnatal runners with lower back pain
🙏 Continually finding joy from working with my clients, helping them overcome a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions

That pretty much sums me up—massage, mum, runner!
