FREE TIP - Self Massage for Wrist Pain
If you are suffering with any injury, damage or disorder of the joints or other tissues in the upper/lower limbs or the back then you are one of the 12.5% of all people suffering with a musculoskeletal complaint.
Many of the clients that come to your local Advance SRM clinic seek help to overcome such complaints. One such example is wrist pain. If this is you then a great way to help alleviate the discomfort is to perform myofascial release on your forearm - INSTRUCTIONS BELOW:
1. Start at the wrist by making a fist.
2. Place your fingers on the top of your forearm with your thumb on the underside.
3. Applying firm pressure to anchor the tissues below the fingers and thumb.
4. Start to move your fist up and down slowly to mobilise the soft tissues below.
5. As you move the fist through its range gradually slide your grip up the forearm, pulling the tissues below away from the wrist.
6. Repeat moving up the forearm until you feel the tension beginning to subside. Look to do around 5 to 8 repetitions.
*Don't overdo the repetitions and move slowly for best results.
