When your child has complex needs, you need a therapist who truly understands.

Bex's daughter Jasmine has cerebral palsy and right-side hemiplegia. She'd tried multiple providers. Then she found John.

"John has improved Jasmine's mobility and care considerably. His skills are exceptional, and the support from the Advance team is invaluable."

This is one of our key features that separates us from your 'usual' clinic: adapted clinical soft tissue therapy for neurodivergent and complex presentations. We don't use a one-size-fits-all approach. We listen. We adapt. We care.

Whether your child (or you) has autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, sensory sensitivities, or complex pain - we're able to work in a way that meets your individual needs.

That's the Advance SRM difference. Link in bio to book a consultation

There's something really special about hearing those words. "I'm back to running."

Belinda came to us after a gruelling triathlon season. Her body had done something incredible. but it was paying the price. Aches, stiffness, that heavy feeling that just wouldn't shift no matter how much rest she got.

She wasn't looking for a spa day. She wanted someone to actually assess what was going on, treat the root cause, and help her get back to doing what she loves.

That's exactly what we're here for. πŸ™Œ

After working through her soft tissue restrictions and building a proper plan of care, Belinda was back out there. Her words mean more to us than any five-star review ever could.

"Got me back to running... eased post-triathlon aches and stiffness." Belinda L-J

If your body has been through the wringer lately, whether that's sport, surgery, or just life in general, and you're not getting the answers you need elsewhere, we'd love to help.

Drop us a message or book online. We'll start with a proper assessment and go from there. ❀️

Pregnancy and postnatal recovery place real demands on the body.

For some, that looks like back pain, pelvic discomfort, tension, fatigue, or the feeling that the body is still trying to find its way again after birth.

Our approach is calm, tailored, and clinically informed. We support clients through these stages with treatment that takes into account the physical changes, compensations, and recovery needs that can come with pregnancy and early motherhood.

We work with a wide range of clients, but there are some areas where our clinic is particularly well placed to help.

That includes persistent pain, sports injuries, scar recovery, post-surgical rehabilitation, pregnancy and postnatal issues, and clients who need a more thoughtful or sensory-aware approach.

Many people come to us after trying other options and still feeling stuck.

Our role is not to offer a generic treatment experience. It is to understand the individual, work out what is appropriate, and provide care that is tailored, realistic, and clinically informed.

A common assumption is that stronger treatment means better treatment.

In reality, more pressure is not always more effective.

The right treatment depends on the person, the issue, the stage of recovery, and how the body is responding. Sometimes deeper work is appropriate. Sometimes a more measured approach gets a better result.

Good treatment is not about chasing discomfort for the sake of it. It is about using skill, reasoning, and the right level of input to support change.

Your C-section scar is doing more than healing. ❀️

Most people assume that once the surface has closed up, the job is done. But scar tissue doesn't just sit there quietly. It can tighten, adhere to deeper layers of tissue, and restrict movement in ways that feel completely unrelated to the scar itself. Lower back tension. Hip tightness. A strange pulling sensation when you stand up straight. Sound familiar?

Here's the thing that often gets missed. A C-section cuts through multiple layers of tissue, including skin, fascia, muscle, and the uterine wall. Each of those layers heals at its own pace, and sometimes they don't glide past each other the way they should. That's when you start to notice the knock-on effects.

The good news is that scar tissue is remarkably responsive to skilled clinical treatment, even years after the original surgery. We're not just talking about the surface. We work through the layers, assessing how the tissue is behaving, where it's restricted, and what's needed to restore normal movement and function. It's not painful, and it's not rushed.

Our approach follows three stages. Assess, Treat, and Empower. That last part matters just as much as the hands-on work, because we want you to understand what's happening in your own body and feel confident managing it between sessions.

If you've been carrying unexplained tightness, discomfort, or a sense that something just isn't quite right since your section, it might be worth a conversation. Jo, our specialist scar therapist, works with postnatal clients at every stage of recovery, whether you're 6 weeks post-op or 6 years on. 🌈

Drop us a message or book online to find out whether scar therapy could help you.

No two bodies are the same, and no two people experience pain, injury, recovery, or overload in exactly the same way.

That is why we do not believe in one-size-fits-all treatment.

At Advance SRM, we look at the full picture. What is driving the issue? What is the body adapting to? What else might be influencing recovery? What is realistic and appropriate for this person, at this point in time?

Tailored treatment does not just mean changing where we work. It means changing how we think, how we assess, and how we support each individual.

Meet the team: Jessica πŸ’š

Jessica is Joint Director of Advance SRM Therapies and leads the strategic direction, growth and client experience of the clinic.

Although she is not a practising therapist, her role is central to shaping the culture, standards and long-term vision of the business.

Before moving into leadership and community strategy, Jessica performed professionally across the UK and internationally. Her own career was cut short by a serious knee injury that was never fully rehabilitated - an experience that deeply shaped her belief that people deserve thoughtful, skilled support and not rushed or surface-level care.

That perspective continues to influence Advance SRM today: a clinic built around integrity, depth, and genuine care for the individual.

Jessica brings her background in community strategy and CSR to the clinic, developing meaningful partnerships and ensuring Advance SRM stays rooted in the community it serves.

Outside the clinic, Jessica manages a busy family life, likes to network and learn from others, plus attends the odd tap class!

Meet the team: Jo πŸ’š

Jo is an experienced and highly skilled Senior Soft Tissue Therapist with advanced training in pregnancy, postnatal recovery and scar tissue therapy.

Her work is grounded in careful assessment, skilled hands-on treatment, and a deep understanding of how life experiences shape the body. She provides advanced clinical soft tissue therapy for a wide range of musculoskeletal issues - from persistent neck and back pain to postural strain, overload injuries and more complex recovery needs.

Jo is known for her calm, attentive approach and her ability to work confidently with both straightforward and more layered cases. She has developed specialist expertise in advanced pregnancy massage and postnatal recovery, supporting clients through the significant physical changes that come with pregnancy and early motherhood.
