We held one of our regular team awaydays yesterday.

It is always good to get the team together outside of the office.

We spent time reviewing the first six months of 2025 and start planning for the remainder of the year.

These awaydays are also an opportunity for teambuilding activities, which are always fun. Rob was first to complete a row on the wellness bingo and Donna won the award for the best Superhero pose - but we all agreed not to share the pictures of those - what happens on the awayday stays on the awayday 😀

Today marks the start of Carer's week 2025.

Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. It also helps people who don't think of themselves as having caring responsibilities to identify as carers and access much-needed support.

This year the theme is 'Caring About Equality' highlighting the inequalities faced by unpaid carers, including a greater risk of poverty, social isolation, poor mental and physical health.

We'll share some more details about the challenges that carers face throughout the week.

Last night our very own Lynn Osborne was one of expert speakers presenting at the 𝐄𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐝 event hosted by Biscoes Solicitors

Today marks the 80th anniversary of VE Day, marking the end of World War 2 in Europe, although war continued in Asia and the pacific for a while longer.

Many of our clients were either serving in the war or have memories of living through the war, so it can be a good topic of discussion when we're getting to know them.

We've heard some amazing stories of people's experiences during the war and how they celebrated VE Day.

If you have elderly relatives or neighbours who lived through the war, why not spend some time talking with them about it today, asking them to recount some of their memories.
