Yoga With Becky Yoga With Becky ~ Hatha Yoga classes in the Horndean/Waterlooville area

I have been practicing yoga for about 20 plus years and teaching in Horndean since 2012. My yoga practice has been both my companion and my greatest teacher allowing me to find a stillness and sense of peace that resides within us all. Through working with the postures, pranayama, meditation and relaxation I hope that others can begin their own journey towards peace.

♡ so never underestimate how powerful or meaningful a seemingly small act of kindness can be ♡

Happy weekend!
Vrksasana - the tree pose.
We have included this balance over the last half term, it's a good way to help us feel more grounded, feet to the earth, crown to the sky, the tree may sway a little, but it remains strong and grounded through it all. We tried the supine version, and most people preferred it !...and as the picture below, not recommended while brushing your teeth 🤭

Welcoming Autumn 🍂
Nature is beginning to slow down and turn inwards in preparation for the impending Winter, and is asking you to do the same. After the busyness of the Summer, you may now feel a dip in energy levels as the season shift, a need to rest, slow down, and process what the year has brought you so far.
The turn of the season asks you to give thanks for everything you have achieved and all you have enjoyed and to everyone who has helped along the way.
Each day take a moment to pause and consider what you are most grateful for in this moment 🙏🏼
For me as i write this i am enjoying watching the foxes sunbathing under the trees in my garden, so beautiful 🦊

🍂Today, 22nd September is the Autumn Equinox, the first day of Autumn and that sacred pause between light and dark, day and night, growth and rest. Today night and day are equal and perfectly balanced.
We too need to pause here and return to balance, we need to make time in our lives to also rest, reflect and restore.
Just as nature is doing, this season calls you inwards to find more equilibrium between your inner and outer worlds.
"This is the moment to pause and breathe, the turning of the seasons invites you back to centre".

I am pleased to announce that I now a fully trained yoga nidra teacher, level 2.
What is yoga nidra ?
✨️ Yoga nidra is a deep guided relaxation
✨️ it increases our wellbeing
✨️ helps to improve our sleep
✨️ helps you to let go of tension and find deep rest
✨️
Yoga nidra is not something you do, it's something that you receive.

Those of you who have been to one of my classes will know that it always includes a long relaxation at the end, yoga nidra is similar, so the training has been a deeper exploration into this wonderful practice.
I have also just completed my Level 3 in Counselling skills, my studying at college for this year is all done....(see what September brings !)...but for now, time to rest. 🙏🏻
