Coconut oil is food for anxiety because it’s a very good healthy fat which reduces inflammation and supports brain function (as chronic inflammation is linked to mood disorders).
Coconut oil contains compounds like lauric acid that have anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects. Reducing systemic inflammation can help support overall brain health.
Because of its antimicrobial properties, coconut oil may influence gut bacteria balance. The gut-brain axis plays a major role in mood regulation.

Avocados are high in magnesium which help relax muscles and nerves, reduce symptoms like restlessness and tension.
Magnesium is just such a wonder mineral and so many of us, I think it’s about like 70 or 80% of people are actually deficient in magnesium. And not enough magnesium increases anxiety. It can result in headache sleeplessness, low energy, muscle aches and pains, period cramps.
Also they contain Vit B6 and folate (Vit B9) which help our body to produce serotonin and dopamine; and fibre that feeds healthy gut bacteria and supports gut-brain connection.
So magnesium is fantastic and B vitamins as well. A lot of us are chewing through B vitamins and magnesium at a really high rate because when we’re stressed, we end up going through B vitamins and magnesium a lot faster.

The third food against anxiety is Salmon. 🐠🥰Salmon is full of really good healthy fats; that omega-3 fatty acids that our brain needs. It reduces inflammation in the brain (linked to anxiety and depression), improves communication between brain cells, helps regulate serotonin and dopamine (mood-related neurotransmitters), lowers stress hormone- cortizol. Also it’s high in vitamin D and contains B vitamins- B6, B3 (Niacin), B12 (especially B12). Low Omega-3 levels are associated with higher anxiety symptoms. 🐟🍣🍱

Today I started a detoxification protocol wrapped up in a one month programme. I started the day with a kidney flush drink consisting in water, 1 juiced lemon and cayenne tincture. "Lemons are the detox fruits which perform useful functions in the liver as well. Cayenne acts as a safe stimulant for the circulation, the kidneys and the adrenals- and breaks the habit of having the first cup of coffee in the morning before any other food or drink" (says Peter Jackson-Main in his book). And indeed after having the drink I feel that I don't really need that cup of coffee anymore. 😎
The lemon drink was followed by a very nice kiddney-bladder tea which contains dandelion, nettle, horsetail and other herbs. I will have a clean diet during this protocol, predominantly plant-based. I'll keep you updated about how the detoxification process is going on. 🍋🍋‍🟩🌶 🥬🥦 🌞 🌟

The number two food against anxiety is walnuts. Walnuts have such good, healthy fats that the brain needs. Plus they look like little brains, which is called the doctrine of signatures; something that people used before science even existed. They would look to nature to see what food looked like, what part of the body, what organ did it look like. Then they would believe that that would help heal or strengthen that organ. Walnuts look exactly like little brains, and they were known to be good for the brain. Now science have shown that they are in fact great for the brain, especially for anxiety.

Știați că frunzele verzi de salată, pătrunjelul, broccoli și germenii de broccoli totodată, chiar și spanacul reduc anxietatea, ne ajută în cazurile de depresie, ne protejează creierul și sistemul nervos? Ar trebui să le folosim foarte des în alimentația noastră pentru ca atunci când anxietatea, respectiv gândurile îngrijorătoare (care nu se mai opresc) ne vor apăsa, organismul nostru să fie pregătit și să le facă față. 🙂
