Today was a very important day in my life! ๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ž
๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ฎStudying Herbal Medicine at CNM (College of Naturopathic Medicine) has been a transformative and fulfilling experience for me since moving to London. I feel that I made the best decision a couple of years ago. Finding a course that excites me and aligns with my interests (like holistic health, plant medicine, natural healing) can be life-changing. I had great instructors, knowledgeable teachers who made learning engaging and inspired deeper curiosityโ€”something I clearly appreciate!

CNM is known for its focus on real-world herbalism, not just theory. I did enjoy working with herbs, making remedies, or taking clinical case studies.

Putting what I learned into practiceโ€”treating myself with herbsโ€”has been truly eye-opening. The results have amazed me! Herbal medicine was just theory until I began weaving it into my life. Now, every cup of tea, every tincture feels like a quiet revolutionโ€”my body responding in ways I never imagined. Itโ€™s incredible how powerful plants can be when you know how to work with them.

Being at the stage of transition from student to practitioner - I'm humbled and excited to begin this next chapter of sharing herbal wisdom. The plants have whispered their secrets, now I must become their voice in the world of healing. Next stop: clinical practice! I'm now preparing to open my herbal practice doors to clients seeking natural solutions.

May this ripple of enthusiasm grow into a wave, carrying others toward the shores of herbal wisdom, where roots and leaves become lifelong teachers. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒป ๐ŸŒฟ

Number nine is broccoli and broccoli sprouts, which also do fit into the category of dark leafy greens, but itโ€™s good to have their own list here because theyโ€™re just so worthy of talking about, and they really help our body to stay protected against oxidative stress. Turmeric isnโ€™t a sedative or instant calming agent, but it may support anxiety reduction through its effects on inflammation, brain chemistry, and stress signaling.
Turmeric contains curcumin which lowers inflammatory cytokines, reduces oxidative stress, protects neurons, and influences the HPA axis (the system that controls cortisol and stress hormones). Turmeric can positively influence gut bacteria and reduce gut inflammation. Since the gut and brain are closely connected, improving gut health may indirectly support anxiety reduction. A cup of turmeric latte is like pouring warm sunlight into your nervous system. ๐Ÿงก
