✨Why I’ve Chosen Not To Cut Other Supplier’s Wigs✨

After careful consideration, I’ve made the decision to no longer offer cutting services for wigs purchased from other suppliers. Here’s why:

1️⃣ I’m just too busy!
Running my own business and ensuring the best quality for my clients means my time is incredibly valuable. I want to focus on perfecting the pieces I create and offer the best service possible. 2️⃣ The Quality Isn’t Up to Standard:
When it comes to wigs, quality is EVERYTHING. I’ve seen too many wigs from cheap suppliers that don’t meet the high standards I uphold. I don’t want to risk compromising the final result by working with pieces that don’t align to my brand’s commitment to excellence.
✨What You Get When You Purchase From Me:
Any Wig / Topper purchased directly from me comes with a COMPLIMENTARY CUT to ensure it’s styled just right for you! Plus, I offer human hair colouring for a bespoke, personalised look that perfectly suits your style.

I’m all about offering the best experience and products to my clients, and this decision ensures that I can continue doing just that. Thanks for your understanding and continued support! ❤️

Why it’s critical to care for your Human Hair Wig / Topper This Winter.

Winter is here, and while we’re layering up and braving the cold, our wigs & toppers need extra love and attention! Human hair is an investment, and the dry, chilly air and harsh winds can take it toll, leaving them frizzy, tangled, and dry if not cared for properly. I offer a human hair wash, deep condition & style service (slide through to see the transformation) but if you can’t get to me here’s how you can keep your piece manageable, soft and stunning all season long:

Hydration is key:
Cold weather can strip out moisture from hair. Use a sulphate - free, moisturising shampoo and deep conditioner to keep it soft and hydrated. A weekly deep- conditioning treatment works wonders!

Use A Leave In Conditioner:
Spray a lightweight leave in conditioner to help
lock in moisture and add an extra layer of protection against the elements, especially on windy days.

Combat Frizz With Oils:
Apply a lightweight hair oil or serum to the ends for extra nourishment. Be cautious not to over do it - less is more/

Store Safely:
When not wearing your hair replacement, store it on a wig stand in a cool, dry place to avoid tangling and maintain shape.

Say No To
Overwashing:
Washing often can strip oils. Aim to wash every 60/70 hours of wear.

Don’t Skip Detangling:
Use a wide tooth comb or a wig brish daily to derange, starting from the ends and working your way up.

Protect It From The Wind:
Winter winds are notorious for causing tangling and breakage. They also suck moisture from your wig, leaving it dry and brittle. When stepping outside, wear a scarf, hat or hood to shield your wig. Opt for silk or satin linings to reduce friction and minimise frizz.

Avoid Heat Damage:
Limit the use of hot styling tools like straighteners and curling irons. If you must use heat, always apply heat protectant spray to prevent dryness and split ends.

Taking these steps can make a huge difference in protecting your wig from winters harsh conditions. Kept it nourished, frizz free, and ready to
Turn heads no matter what weather! ❤️

Starting Chemotherapy? I’m Here For You.

I understand that starting chemotherapy can feel overwhelming, and hair loss may be a major cause for concern. But you don’t have to face this alone - I’m here to support you every step of the way with compassion, care and skill.

One big question I often get asked:
“when should
I come and see you?”

Here are some tips to guide you:
First step: Don’t panic. Take a breath - you’ve got this and I’m here to help and I can work very quickly.

When to contact me:
Not using cold cap? Contact me after your first treatment- you should anticipate hair loss around day 19 post 1st treatment.

Using cold cap?
Monitor and wait. Expect to lose 30/50% of your hair, though some clients can still manage & maintain good coverage with this amount of loss. However, around day 40 after your first treatment, you will have a clearer idea if the cold cap is working and whether you might need some helper hair.

Help towards the cost of helper hair:
NHS clients - Ask your nurse about their wig referral policy.

Private sector: Contact your insurer and ask if they contribute funds towards the wig purchase.

VAT: As you have a medical need due to your treatment you are automatically exempt from paying VAT.

I hope this helps - and remember I am here when you need me.

Katie ❤️

Images are in reverse order, but each piece of the process is as equally important. Within the initial consultation with me , .hair.designer, Mrs B decided on a bespoke Human Hair Silk Top wig. Head measurements and colour blends were selected and today after I had custom root coloured and cut in the piece Mrs B went home with her new BFF. I have booked Mrs B back in again in two weeks time for a post fitting appointment so if we need to tweak or cut in a little more we can do so. Did you know that bespoke wigs take on average 28 working days to make? However, they are worth the wait. I am now fully booked until the New Year. However, if you need help or advice please do not hesitate to contact me to book in. A new year, new you. My contact info link is in my bio ❤️
