🧠💜 Scrabble with Terry: Brain Yoga & Companionship

At Unique Care, support goes beyond routines it’s about connection stimulationand smiles.

This morning our brilliant carers Elizabeth and Debbie joined Terry who absolutely loves a good word challenge! Scrabble is more than just a game it’s brain yoga, especially for those living with dementia or memory difficulties.

It encourages:

✔️ Joyful companionship

🎉 A Day Full of Chocolate, Laughter, and Memories 🍫💖

We had the absolute joy of supporting Gillian to revisit Rosie’s Chocolate Factory a place she last explored six years ago. Today, her wish came true, and it was every bit as magical as before!

Here’s what Gillian got up to:

✅ Learned how chocolate is tempered
✅ Explored the difference between white and dark chocolate
✅ Designed and created her own chocolate shoe and boot 👠🥾
✅ Made slabs of chocolate decorated with sweets and treats
✅ Crafted delicious chocolate lollipops
✅ Finished with a lovely social lunch and walk to round off the day

Gillian was fully engaged, creative, and full of smiles throughout. Her excitement and sense of pride in what she made was clear to see and we were so happy to share that joy with her 💕

✨ Moments like this are what Unique Care is all about — supporting people to live with meaning, connection, and joy.

🌞 A Walk, A Smile, and A Boost of Confidence!

This week, our amazing carer Elizabeth took Sheila out for a wonderful walk in the beautiful surroundings of Shenley Park.

Sheila has been building her confidence with walking — and instead of staying indoors, she chose sunshine, movement, and connection. It’s these small steps that make a big difference.

After soaking up some rays and enjoying nature, the two shared a lovely lunch and good conversation. 🥪💬

Exercise and fresh air are so important for both physical and emotional wellbeing — and Sheila absolutely loves the sunshine!

We’re proud to support people like Sheila in living life to the fullest, one step (and smile) at a time. 💜

🕯️ In Loving Memory of Michael
This photo was taken at the Chai Cancer Care Chanukah Party a place Michael truly loved.

Chai gave him more than just care it gave him joy, peace, and community. He especially looked forward to reflexology sessions, and after every visit, he’d smile and say we’d made his “happy feet”. It became a little ritual one that brought him real comfort.

He also adored the parties, quizzes, and social moments he felt loved, seen, and connected. That’s what care should be.

At Unique Care, we were honoured to support Michael by helping him get to the places that brought him joy. We’re not just about help at home we’re about bringing life to each day.
