Last week Haylley put up a video post on her page about how there is a shortage of instructors and some centres are using land instructors, lifeguard, volunteers and possibly even participants to teach the aqua class. There were many comments following it from aqua instructors talking about their experience and their thoughts.
These are 5 quotes from different comments from different people. The interesting fact is that there is a feeling of not getting the same level of respect teaching aqua compared to land.
So our question now is to fitness industry, those CEO's, Directors, Managers, etc. Do they know that is how many instructors feel? & Is it because of the level of the certification/qualification? Or is it because the pool costs are so high they just see it as a requirement to keep the pool going?
