We are honoured to welcome the internationally respected Mimi Rodriguez Adami to our March Virtual Aqua Convention.
With over 40 years of experience in land and aquatic fitness education, Mimi is the creator of the Multidisciplinary Hypopressive Method (MHM) and President of the International Hypopressive Council.

“The Multidisciplinary Hypopressive Method: Core Foundations for Aquatic Professionals”

We’re delighted to welcome Sarah Cox to the AREA stage 💦
This engaging and interactive session explores the physiology of immersion and what truly happens to the body when it enters the water. Building from the foundational principles of hydrostatic pressure, buoyancy and sensory input, Sarah will unpack how immersion influences the cardiovascular and respiratory systems, alters the work of breathing, and connects directly to balance, postural control and movement confidence.
Drawing on core elements of the Halliwick Concept alongside practical case studies, we’ll explore how structured aquatic approaches can support patients with:
· Stroke
· Cerebral palsy
· Spinal cord injury
There will be opportunities to reflect, discuss and share experiences — strengthening your understanding of why pool sessions are so effective, and how to confidently translate theory into clinical practice.
By the end of this session, you’ll be able to:
· Explain the relationship between immersion and work of breathing
· Understand how water properties facilitate relaxation and influence neurological tone
