Part of a Reiki healing is to balance the Chakras. We all have 7 major Chakras starting at the crown (head) and ending at the root (lower abdomin) there are other smaller ones but it gets complicated.
Imagine a chakra as a spinning vortex of energy all spinning together in perfect sync. If one or more of these chakras are out of sync i.e spinning faster or slower our body may exhibit this via an illness or condition for eg psoriasis, migraines, aches and pains, thyroid problems, digestive problems the list goes on.

Here is just an example of the 7 chakras and their body parts/systems that they are linked to.
