ANNOUNCEMENT🥳🥳 we have some exciting news. WE ARE COMING TO CHEDDAR!! Yesterday we picked up the keys to the old pet shop in cheddar which will become YAMS mobility and community care hub opening 1st June. We will have lots and lots of mobility equipment and also host monthly talks with the likes of Somerset sight, dementia friends, health coaches and many more, all will be welcome.. we cannot wait. If anyone would like to see anything particular in the Hub do please message or call. 🥳🥳🌻🌻

🤩 Our carers of the month this month are Karen J for making a client a roast dinner in her own time and taking to them, and helping 2 old friends reconnect and taking them out to lunch. And Carwyn for his ‘can do’ attitude and making brilliant progress with a new client in wells. Both are positive supporters for other team members as well, always giving advice. Well done x

Yesterday Robert and Chrissy went bird watching on the Quantocks. They followed the sound of a cuckoo but sadly couldn’t catch up with it to see it, but, they did see a Red Start which was on Robert’s list to see so he was very chuffed with that..
Jacqueline also went with Claire to Wells cathedral to admire its beauty. She also had a quiet moment and lit a candle for her late husband 🕯️

Look at some of these beautiful smiley faces out enjoying the sun yesterday .🌻 Shirley enjoyed a walk around her home getting some exercise with Kacey 🌻Christine enjoyed a trip to Cadbury garden centre with Vicky and then onto see all the bluebells on Wrington hill 🌻and Lil enjoyed looking around her garden with Karen looking for what needed doing.

Yesterday’s YAMS dementia club got all spring like. Nicole and her daughter spent the previous evening collecting petals for collages (well done girls), and the pictures the group made were brilliant, as u can see. They all enjoyed picking their own petals, feeling and smelling each one. They also did a quiz and a word search, and of course tea and cake. If you know anyone that maybe interested in attending this Wednesday group at Hannah more in cheddar, do please contact 01934 710073 for your taster session 🌻

It was such a lovely day yesterday:
🌻Jacky had been out into Wells for her first companionship visit with Alice and had just the best time.
🌻It was Kaths 84th birthday and Jo made her a yummy chocolate cake. Happy birthday Kath.
🌻Mary went out to the local lake to see the ducks and get some fresh air with Jaz and popped in to see her old friend Ern on the way back.
🌻Kevin enjoyed some time out with Kita for tea, cake and some chatter
