This month at ND BrainSpace, we’ve been talking about boundaries. Not just how to say no — but why it can feel so hard to do it in the first place.

07/04/2026

This month we’ve been talking about boundaries 🙌 super important topic, especially for people. Here’s some of the ideas 💡 shared by the group in person (Stratford Upon Avon) and online. Interested to hear your thoughts!

Next week’s ND BrainSpace session coincides with half term, which gives us a great opportunity to open up this important topic of boundaries to ages 13+, alongside our wonderfully helpful adult community.

Knowing where your limits are — and how to communicate them — isn’t always straightforward, especially when you’re neurodivergent. For secondary school-aged young people and beyond, this can be a really important (and often tricky) skill to develop.

In this session, we’ll be exploring practical, realistic ways to understand and communicate boundaries, protect energy, and reduce overwhelm — in a way that actually works in real life.

No pressure, no “right way” to do it — just a supportive space to think things through together.

📅 Wednesday 1st April
⏰ 7.00 – 8.30pm
📍 Tyler House, Stratford-upon-Avon

If this feels relevant — whether for you or a young person you support — you’re very welcome to join us 💛

It was great to see so many of you at ND BrainSpace this month 💛 We’ve been talking about work and careers, and one thing kept coming up — a sense of mismatch.

There’s often a gap between how neurodivergent people work best and how many workplaces are set up. This showed up in lots of ways, from communication differences and sensory environments to expectations around time, focus, and productivity

We also explored what helps — and a lot of it was surprisingly simple. Clearer communication, more flexibility, sensory awareness, and small adjustments that can make work feel much more manageable.

If this resonates, you’re definitely not the only one figuring it out.

You can find the presentation and ideas we shared below 👇

It was great to see you this month. Our theme has been work and careers, and one thing kept coming up — a sense of mismatch.

📣 A shout-out for those of you who were interested but missed this week’s ND BrainSpace…

Our focus this month is work and the neurodivergent brain — including navigating stigma, feeling misunderstood, and figuring out what actually works for our brains.

This week we welcomed Cllr Dani Hunter - Orchard Hill Mayor of Stratford-upon-Avon who joined the conversation and recognised the importance of bringing neurodivergent people together in community spaces like this.
