Monday night is Breathe Into Awareness Night.

It’s a simple 45 minute class designed to allow you to settle, be still, be soothed, to allow all the”noise” to quieten down.

We do this by tuning into the breath.
By using the breath as a tool to slow down the body and the mind.
Then we meditate: we go inward with soft focus and gentle intention.

At the end? We feel calm, connected to self, balanced, relaxed and at ease.

Join us tonight 19:00-19:45
Online

You can book via the link in my bio.

Wishing you a peaceful day ahead,
With love,

Helen 🙏

Releasing…

Join me tonight for a class to Release…

We can hold on to so much more than we realise. Clenching and holding the body tight without even noticing, bearing grudges, internal arguments and grievances, beating ourselves up about this and that, we hold it all inside-body, mind, heart, spirit.

When we hold on without releasing, eventually the burden we carry is too heavy and HAS to be released one way or another. This can manifest as emotional outbursts, terse reactions, illness, injury, chronic pain. The Body Holds The Score.

Its so important then to use the practices of yoga to release what isnt serving us. Such a common term but what doers it really mean?

To begin to release what doesnt serve us, we at first need to recognise and become aware of what it is we’re holding on to: the argument, the upset, the trauma, the pain, the anger. Not to dismiss any of these emotions and occurrences, they are there for a reason, but if we hold on to them too long unexpressed, then they will eventually manifest as something far worse.

Yoga provides us with a very particular and powerful set of tools to TUNE in, RECOGNISE, OBSERVE and then RELEASE what needs to go.

We’re still in The Year Of The Snake, lets see what else needs to shed and let go.

Join me tonight to explore together.

Do you want to learn how to practice Yoga but feel overwhelmed or put off by group clasess?

Going to a group yoga class as a beginner can be pretty intimidating, with thoughts and feelings of being out of place, awkwardness and unsure if youre doing it right or not.
I remember those early days all too well, with questions such as:

Am I flexible enough?
Is everyone watching me?
What if I'm not good enough?
What if I make a fool of myself?
What if I hurt myself?

It can also be very difficult even for the best of teachers to give a beginner enough time and focused attention to really learn and progress in a group class, especially if you have a complex medical history or are recovering from injury. This coupled with the fact that a lot of studio classes can be over-filled makes for many people deciding that Yoga isnt for them, and giving up too early before they can feel any real benefit.

This is where 1:1 instruction is really beneficial. I have clients that have been with me for years and love the in depth, flexible yet focused and personalised support they get from 1:1 sessions.

With 1:1 sessions you are in the driving seat, and with each session tailor made for your particular needs, we can take all the time you need to feel the amazing benefits a holistic yoga practice has to offer.

Here are some of my clients desired outcomes from their yoga practice:

-Carving out time just for me
-Creating more balance in my life
-Gaining a stronger and mopre mobile body
-Creating a calmer mind and more "headspace"
-Gaining a better sense of physical balance and stability
-Greater mobility
-Exploring my own spirituality
-Reducing physical pain and tension in the body
-Learning how to cope with lifes stresses better

I can very happily say that each of my clients is acheiving all of these with fantastic results and so much more.
The magic of yoga is that it is a holistic practice, so it works on our whole BEING, not just the body or the mind. It really is the gift that keeps on giving.

With 1:1 sessions the client instructor relationship is super important and it takes time to build trust and get to know each other. If you would like to try a 1:1 session with me, head to my website where you can book a free introductory call and see if we would be a right fit for each other.

1:1 sessions can be in the comfort of your own home or online. If in person covering Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

It really is super refreshing to hear people talk not about resolutions anymore, but about more realistic, gentle, achievable steps.

I love any excuse to be born again, any new beginning, any fresh start, but to do this in the middle of winter just doesn’t honour our cyclical nature.

We are governed by rhthyms, ebbs and flows the pulse, The turn, the cycle. Finally we are starting to remember and honour that.

Sending you all so much love and light through the darkness of this sacred long night 🙏🌑🙏

The beauty of yoga is that it really is a system designed to transform our consciousness.

Taking us from Earth: our material, physical body

To Stars: Different realms of consciousness

When you travel it helps shift your perspective right? Sometimes so massively that when you arrive home after an incredible mind-expanding travel experience, you don’t recognise your home anymore, maybe you don’t even recognise yourself when you look in the mirror.

It’s the same when you dive deeper into your own psyche- when you explore the inner landscapes. When you come back to earth, things look different somehow.

As the great Ram Dass said: The practice is to be here and there at the same time. To work to expand your awareness and mind beyond the material and yet to still be here.

We do this through movement, breathwork and meditation, connecting to and seeking the beyond. Are you ready to explore who you are?

Five years ago on my first trip to India a dear friend and I were shopping when the lovely shop assistant asked if he could balance our chakras with singing bowls. Of course we said yes, and he told us afterwards what was out of balance.

What he said to me was so true, so surgically spot on that the world stopped for a long moment. “You need to have more faith,” he said “you are a good person but you don’t have enough faith.”

Realising that this was a massive missing piece in my spiritual journey was pivotal and I have spent the last five years exploring what that means for me as someone who is not religious yet deeply spiritual and how it impacts all aspects of my life.

Thankfully I can say that I have been blessed by some incredible teachers who have helped me to continue to develop this deep sense of faith and trust not only in the practice but also in a higher divine source and most importantly in my SELF.

This is of course still a work in progress, and maybe it’s part of my life’s work. But I’m here for all of it and have delved so much deeper into myself and practice because of this.

Thankfully you to all my fantastic teachers (some of whom are not in IG) for guiding me with your incredible knowledge, wisdom and patience. I am forever grateful to all of you 🙏
