Did you know the 6 core principles of Pilates are Concentration, Control, Center, Breath, Precision, and Flow?

Concentration: Attention on each movement and muscle engagement, fostering a mind-body connection.

Control: Every exercise should be performed with intention and ensuring proper muscle activation and injury prevention.

Center: Pilates emphasizes strengthening the core, or "powerhouse," which includes the abdominal muscles, lower back, hips, and glutes. This provides stability and balance.

Breath: Proper breathing techniques. Breathing supports movement, oxygenates the body, and helps engage the core.

Precision: Each exercise should be performed with intention and correct form to maximize effectiveness and minimize the risk of injury.

Flow: Pilates movements should be smooth and continuous, connecting one exercise to the next with grace and efficiency.

These principles, developed by Joseph Pilates and his students, provide a framework for a balanced and mindful approach to movement, promoting strength, flexibility, posture, and overall well-being.
