Natalia Bowles Massage and Bodywork

Natalia Bowles Massage and Bodywork Massage and movement therapist specialising in chronic pain. Massage Therapy Anatomy, Physiology, Pa

I am a massage and movement therapist and coach, a holder of Holistic, remedial, and deep tissue massage diploma (anatomy, physiology, and pathology level 4), certified pregnancy massage therapist, certified Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) practitioner level 3, Personal Trainer L3, ID core concepts practitioner, certified personal trainer and kettlebell instructor, registered first aider, Holistic Health Coach - to be launched this spring.

I have started my journey as a professional therapist in 2011, but with the passing years, I see that my whole life was leading me to where I am and what I do now. I love helping people and teaching people how to help themselves. My aim is to empower people, help them to recognize their own power over their bodies and minds. The body's ability to heal is so much greater than many of us dare to believe.

Throughout the years my focus shifted several times. Each of these periods I learned different ways and treatment techniques that enabled me to help my clients with diverse needs. From acute pain clients needing immediate pain relief to chronic muscular-skeletal complaints and later physiological problems. In the most recent years, I dived deeper into a holistic approach to health, focused on functional nutrition, gut health, endocrine system and hormonal balance and so much more.

I believe that the passion and understanding come from experience and although it hasn't always been a walk in the park I am grateful for all the hurdles that life threw at my feet.

The most common complaints I meet with and regularly work with, in my practice are lower back pain, sciatica, general back pain and stiffness, hip and groin pain, shoulder pain and movement inhibition, knee pain. Many cases of pain are due to an unknown cause, some due to an injury or surgery.

Pain is often accompanied by muscular weakness, joint immobility, breathing dysfunctions, and other physical and physiological symptoms that can be addressed* along, such as diastasis recti, acid reflux, water retention, muscular cramps, urinary and bowel incontinence, constipation, IBS, varicose veins, anxiety.

I also provide general treatments, massage therapy pre and post-exercise, therapeutic and relaxing massages and bodywork.

I offer personal training sessions, currently working mobile only.

As Shakespeare famously said it "A rose by any other name would still smell as sweet". While I appreciate the purpose of this quote is to highlight the irrelevance of names, it also make it clear that the sweet smell of a rose is something most people appreciate.

If you enjoy the sweet smell of roses and would like to experience it in a blend or, even on its own in a carrier oil, book in with Rosie at The Health Hut - every Saturday from now on.

Wise and kind words from my lovely friend and colleague at The Health Hut 🙏

Dry January?
Not as a punishment. Not as a reset button.
But as a reminder.
A reminder that no habit, substance, or coping mechanism gets to decide how I feel, how I cope, or how I live.
Real change doesn’t come from white-knuckling a month.
It comes from an internal decision. A quiet, steady choice. To listen inward rather than reach outward.
This isn’t about rules.
It’s about freedom.
Choosing wellbeing from the inside means I get to decide what supports me… and what no longer does.

Essential oils, when used with care, can be used for a variety of health, well-being ailments. Some are well known for their skin healing benefits and used in skin care, most commonly rose, frankincense or tea tree oil. They can positively affect your mood, help with sleep, anxiety or uplift your spirit when you are low and depleted. And so much more.
I love geranium oil in combination with other flowery or citrus scents.
Rosie's website is full of information about each oil she sells and uses in her practice.
She is joining The Health Hut and offering appointments for aromatherapy massage every Saturday.

Happy New Year!
I am putting short workouts together for my existing clients, 10 - 15 min workout a day, 6 days a week.
Measurable improvements in strenght and energy in 2 weeks, for a very small fee. This is including online support if you need it.
The routine can be used for as long as you enjoy it but by week two of February you can renew your routine.
The workouts are designed for muscle build and strength as well as weight loss, but not so much for functional movement or specific injury prevention. You can add as much breathing and mobility movements to your workouts as you need to though!

The main benefit of these workout plans is to keep you motivated and going, despite busy life style. Just 10-15 minutes a day can make a big difference in 2 weeks or even less. You will feel that you've done something and you will not want to stop.

If you are interested let me know.
