Benefits of Chiropractic Therapy with Mike Ejenas

1. Pain Relief Without Medication

Chiropractic adjustments help reduce back pain, neck pain, and joint pain naturally—without relying on drugs.

2. Improves Posture

Regular adjustments help correct spinal alignment, which can improve posture—especially for people who sit at desks or use phones a lot.

3. Reduces Headaches & Migraines

Spinal tension and misalignment can trigger headaches. Chiropractic care may help reduce their frequency and intensity.

4. Enhances Mobility & Flexibility

By improving joint function, chiropractic therapy helps the body move more freely and comfortably.

5. Supports Nervous System Health

Since the spine protects the nervous system, proper alignment can support better communication between the brain and body.

6. Helps with Sports Recovery

Athletes often use chiropractic care to recover faster, improve performance, and prevent injuries.

7. Better Sleep & Reduced Stress

Less pain and better spinal function can lead to improved sleep and reduced physical stress.

👣 Why Regular Podiatry Appointments Are Essential for Long-Term Health 👣

We often forget how much our feet impact our overall well-being—until pain stops us in our tracks. Regular podiatry appointments do more than treat foot pain; they play a key role in preventative healthcare.

✔️ Early Intervention – Address issues like bunions, heel pain, or nail conditions before they escalate.

✔️ Improved Mobility – Stay active, independent, and confident in daily life.

✔️ Chronic Condition Support – Essential care for those with diabetes, arthritis, or circulation concerns.

✔️ Optimized Performance – From athletes to professionals on their feet all day, proper foot care boosts endurance and comfort.

✔️ Holistic Wellness – Healthy feet support overall posture, movement, and quality of life.

Your feet carry you through every step of your career and life. Investing in their health is investing in your future.

👉 How often do you schedule your podiatry check-ups?

Happy Mother’s Day 💐

Today we celebrate the women who nurture, guide, protect, and love — in all the many ways that motherhood can exist.

Motherhood isn’t defined by a single path. It lives in birth mothers, adoptive mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers, foster carers, aunties, mentors, and all the women who step forward to care, support, and hold space for others when it matters most.

To the mums raising little ones, the mums with grown children, the women hoping to become mothers, and those who mother in quiet, unseen ways — today we recognise the patience, strength, and love you give every day.

And for those who find today difficult — missing a mother, remembering a child, or carrying complicated feelings — you are held in our thoughts too.

However you experience this day, we wish you warmth, appreciation, and moments of kindness.

Happy Mother’s Day 🌷

Holistic Counselling for Children and Young People

Childhood is a key stage for emotional and social development. When children experience anxiety, stress, or emotional difficulties, the right therapeutic support can help them develop healthy coping skills and confidence.

At Oxford Street Therapy Centre, counselling for young people uses a holistic and flexible approach, drawing on several proven therapeutic methods.

These may include:

• Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) – helping children understand thoughts, feelings, and behaviours
• Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – building on strengths and focusing on positive solutions
• Attachment-based approaches – supporting emotional security and healthy relationships
• Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – helping children manage emotions and make positive choices
• Creative Therapy – using art, music, crafts, storytelling, and play to support emotional expression
• Theraplay – structured play that strengthens connection, trust, and emotional regulation

By combining evidence-based techniques with creative, child-friendly methods, therapy becomes a supportive space where children can express themselves, develop resilience, and feel empowered.

Every child’s journey is unique, and therapy is always tailored to their individual needs.

Supporting young people today helps build healthier, more confident adults tomorrow.

Our Story

In May 2013 the building and business was purchased by the Tobin family, who have lived next-door for 25 years, and the business was renamed Oxford Street Therapy Centre (formerly known as Callistherapy). The family are keenly supporting the development of the centre whilst ensuring that its original ethos continues to flourish.

Over the past 5 years the business (fondly named as OSTC) has continued to flourish and expand with new therapists, Receptionists, therapies, services as well as provide a small in-store shop. The rooms have all been tastefully refurbished to a high standard throughout the building.

The Centre Manager is Tina Denny, she oversees the smooth running of the practice on a daily basis, with responsibilities both towards a rapidly increasing clientèle and a team in excess of 45 therapists and support staff. Using the skills she learnt from her nursing days, she especially enjoys interacting with clients, being able to guide them towards appropriate therapies by carefully listening to their needs.

Sally Holland is our head receptionist who has worked with us since 2000, she is a fountain of knowledge with regards to all at OSTC, is well respected and liked by all the therapists and receptionists.
