Biomechanical Assessment - Gait Analysis with Kerri Money
Experiencing lower back or limb pain while walking or playing sports? A biomechanical assessment might be for you, especially if treatments haven't worked.
This assessment looks at the structure and function of your legs and feet. High or low arches, muscle inflexibility, footwear, and activity levels can all affect your gait.
Special insoles (orthoses) can help reduce pain and restore balance, relieving stress on your back, hips, knees, and feet. With proper strengthening and stretching, you may only need orthoses temporarily. If issues persist, longer-term use might be necessary.

🎯 DRY NEEDLING AT OXFORD STREET THERAPY CENTRE
What is Dry Needling?
A highly effective “Western” medical technique that targets muscle pain, stiffness, and trigger points (tight knots). Unlike traditional acupuncture, it’s rooted in modern anatomy and neurophysiology.
✨ How It Works:
• Fine, sterile needles pe*****te skin and muscle (no fluid injected—that’s why it’s “dry”)
• Targets myofascial trigger points—taut bands causing pain and restricted movement
• Creates a “twitch response” that resets and releases muscle tension
💪 Key Benefits:
✓ Releases stubborn muscle knots that massage can’t reach
✓ Reduces pain through natural endorphin release
✓ Improves blood flow and speeds healing
✓ Restores mobility immediately after treatment
🏥 What We Treat:
• Neck & back pain, tension headaches, sciatica
• Shoulder issues (rotator cuff, frozen shoulder)
• Tennis/golfer’s elbow
• Leg injuries (IT band syndrome, runner’s knee)
• Plantar fasciitis & Achilles tendinitis
📋 Session Details:
• Integrated into Physiotherapy Consultations
• 30-minute sessions
• Initial assessment: £80 | Follow-ups: £60
• Expert care from clinicians experienced with elite athletes and chronic conditions
⚡ What to Expect:
You may feel a tiny prick and deep ache or muscle twitch. Post-treatment soreness (like a tough workout) is normal for 24-48 hours. Stay hydrated!

In May 2013 the building and business was purchased by the Tobin family, who have lived next-door for 25 years, and the business was renamed Oxford Street Therapy Centre (formerly known as Callistherapy). The family are keenly supporting the development of the centre whilst ensuring that its original ethos continues to flourish.
Over the past 5 years the business (fondly named as OSTC) has continued to flourish and expand with new therapists, Receptionists, therapies, services as well as provide a small in-store shop. The rooms have all been tastefully refurbished to a high standard throughout the building.
The Centre Manager is Tina Denny, she oversees the smooth running of the practice on a daily basis, with responsibilities both towards a rapidly increasing clientèle and a team in excess of 45 therapists and support staff. Using the skills she learnt from her nursing days, she especially enjoys interacting with clients, being able to guide them towards appropriate therapies by carefully listening to their needs.
Sally Holland is our head receptionist who has worked with us since 2000, she is a fountain of knowledge with regards to all at OSTC, is well respected and liked by all the therapists and receptionists.
