We have had an alert come through from the MHRA regarding a recall of Ramipril 5mg capsules. Please read the full information here, including steps needed to return your medication if required. If you have any questions, please speak with your local pharmacy.

Crescent Pharma Limited is recalling one batch of Ramipril 5 mg Capsules as a precautionary measure due to a potential error at the manufacturing site.

NHS App – Update on Access to Historic Medical Records

We would like to provide an update regarding access to historic medical records via the NHS App.

Following the transfer of Luson Surgery patients to Wellington Medical Centre, access to historic medical records was temporarily suspended as part of our safeguarding responsibilities. We want to reassure all patients that your medical records have not been lost. All information remains securely stored within our clinical system; the only limitation is that you are currently unable to view this information online.

As previously explained, the suspension was necessary to allow us to properly review, and safeguard all transferred records. Because there is currently no way to restrict online access for specific patient groups within the NHS App, this measure had to be applied to all of our patients.

We fully appreciate how important online access is and understand the inconvenience this has caused. Over recent weeks, we have been working actively to identify a safe and effective solution. We are pleased to share that we are now closer to a resolution and hope to provide a further update with positive news soon.

In the meantime, the NHS App continues to function as normal for:

Ordering repeat prescriptions
Contacting the surgery about a health concern or administrative query
Viewing results of tests taken after 30th September
