Due to the flooding in the local area, our surgery is currently operating with significantly reduced staff. This may mean that some appointments need to be cancelled or rescheduled at short notice.

If you have a non‑urgent query, please consider contacting us later in the week. This will help us prioritise patients with urgent medical needs.

Our team is working hard to provide care despite the challenging conditions, and we really appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please stay safe, and thank you for your continued support.

If you find yourself needing help over the weekend, your nearest UTC/MIU might be the best place to get the treatment you need. If you are unsure, always contact 111 first.

111 online can help with emergency prescriptions.

You can request a limited emergency supply of a medicine you've completely run out of. This must be a medicine you are prescribed regularly.

If you are unsure about who is the right person to call in your pregnancy we've given some helpful tips below.

When to call your community midwifery team:
For non-urgent queries such as:
🔵Changing an appointment date/time
🔵Requesting paperwork e.g. Mat B1, FW8
🔵Lifestyle queries/advice e.g. diet, exercise, smoking, vitamins, etc.
Your midwife/midwifery team may not monitor their phone every day so you may wait a couple of days for a reply

When to call Somerset Triage Line (16 weeks+):
🔵You have concerns for you and/or your baby
🔵You have concerns about changes in your baby’s movements
🔵You think you might be in labour
🔵Any unusual pain or bleeding

⚠️Somerset Triage Line open 24/7 : 01823343985

Children under 6 are now being offered the MMRV vaccine instead of MMR as part of the NHS routine childhood vaccination programme.

This replaces the existing MMR vaccine and adds protection against chickenpox, alongside measles, mumps and rubella.

You don’t need to do anything — your GP will contact you when your child is due.
