Oaktree Court Care Home Dedicated to kindness & love, we provide all-inclusive residential, respite, nursing & dementia care.

Oaktree Court is set in 9 acres against a beautiful backdrop of woodland, this former mansion house is just half a mile from Wellington, a small Somerset town standing between the River Tone and the beautiful Blackdown Hills.

✨🎶Sometimes it's the little, different ideas that make the biggest impact 🎶✨

Today we took inspiration from National Activity Providers Association idea and turned something ordinary into something unforgettable... a Lift Disco!💃🏼🪩

With a bit of decoration, some music, and lots of smiles, our lift became a mini disco - and the joy it brought was incredible. Laughter, dancing, surprise, and pure happiness all packed into one small space.👀♥️

It really shows how doing something different, even in the simplest of places, can lift spirits (literally!) and create meaningful moments that stay with people long after the music stops💙🪩

Sometimes you don't need big budgets or big spaces - just creativity, heart, and the confidence to try something new.👍🏻🍹

First rehearsal day and we're already finding our voices! Lots of smiles, a few giggles, and plenty of warming up as we get our voices ready for what's to come. It's not about being perfect, it's about enjoying the music, building confidence, and having a good sing together with Reminiscence Learning 💚🎶

So proud of everyone for giving it a go - this is just the beginning, and we can't wait to see (and hear!) how far this choir goes🎶👀

From the moment they walked in, the room was filled with smiles, laughter, and those unbeatable good vibes they always bring. Their sessions spark memories, conversations, and genuine happiness - a perfect reminder of how powerful shared experiences can be ✨💚

It was especially lovely to celebrate this visit during , highlighting just how important meaningful activities, connection, and wellbeing are for everyone.✨🎶

✨🌲NAPPW26 - A Morning of Heritage, Learning & Refreshment at Oak Tree Court Care Home ✨🌲

As part of National Activity Providers & Professionals Week , Oaktree Court Care Home enjoyed a truly engaging and meaningful day that celebrated learning, creativity, and togetherness.💚

The morning took a refreshing turn with milkshake and smoothie making, where residents got involved in choosing flavours, blending ingredients, and, of course, enjoying the delicious results!🍓🍌🍏 The atmosphere was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of taste- testing.

In the afternoon we were delighted to welcome a wonderful guest from English Heritage who delivered a fascinating and interaction talk on the history of the wool industry. Residents thoroughly enjoyed learning about its importance, traditions, and how it shaped communities over time - sparking memories, conversation, and curiosity throughout the room.✨🧶

It was amazing to see everyone got fully stuck in with all the activities and the little chats that were created, and engaged and relaxed 🧡 thank you too everyone who has created today such a great and wonderful day

Meet Otis 🐾♥️

Only 4 months old and already working full time as a professional joy-bringer! Today Otis came to Oaktree Court Care Home and stole the show and hearts of all the residents and staff. Tail wagging at 100mph , tiny paws everywhere, and kisses handed out like free samples.

Laughter filled the room, smiles everywhere, and a few hearts officially melted. Proof that sometimes all you need is a fluffy puppy to turn an ordinary day into a special one 🙂

Otis might be small, but the happiness he brings is huge 🐶

🧡Intergenerational Joy at the Heart of Our Home 🧡

Today we were lucky to welcome our intergenerational group into Oaktree Court Care Home and what a beautiful experience it was. From shared laughter and stories to games, creativity, and meaningful conversations, it was truly heart-warming to see generations connecting so naturally.

These moments remind us how powerful human connection from Debutots younger and older generations learning from one another, building confidence, sparking memories, and creating friendships that mean so much to everyone involved.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make the day so special. Experiences like this bring so much life, energy, and happiness into our home, and we can't wait for the next one!

It was party time last night 🥃🍹

What an absolutely amazing evening we had at our Oaktree Court Care Home Cocktail Night! The music was flowing, the dance floor was full, and it was incredible to see everyone up on their feet, smiling, laughing, and dancing the night away.🎶🎁

Moments like these truly show the power of music how it can spark memories, lift spirits, and bring so much joy, especially for those living with dementia. Seeing familiar songs create connection, confidence, and pure happiness is exactly why nights like this mean so much to us 🥃👀

Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the evening so special. Here's to many more nights filled with music, movement, and magic!

Reminiscence Learning have came over again 👍🏻💚

It's these moments that really make the day special - seeing everyone engaged, enjoying-themselves, and connecting with each other in such a fun, lively way. Huge thanks to the team for bringing the energy and magic, and to our wonderful residents for joining in with so much enthusiasm.

Here Oaktree Court Care Home we strive for making special memories and bringing the heart felt moments to life. There was even some special dancing from 2 of our residents which we are always happy and blessed to see.

Today our lovely residents have had a excellent time creating some super artwork wreaths using all the materials there is 🖌️

From adding hearts, flowers and everything their personality desires. Everyone getting involved Sharing there stories of why they added parts it was a lovely sight to see and of course lots of laughter 😂

Something so simple can create such happiness, concentration in all the residents faces. Laughter filled the room today with curling and some skittles earlier on in the week 🎖️

From friendly competition to big smiles and plenty of coaching and cheering it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved here at Oaktree Court Care Home there is something for everyone 🧡
