Heritage Harbour visit WELLS NEXT THE SEA. In 1940 high risk of AIRBORNE INVASION on large areas of flat hard sand north of Wells. Harbour kept working with barrage balloons to defend sailing barges carrying cement to construct Norfolk airfields. The sign "Teas" on the roof of what is now the Harbourmaster's office was ordered to be removed in case it aided identification! Image credit Wells Harbour Commissioners.
