🤖✨ Exploring Technology with Curiosity and Creativity ✨🤖

As part of our Science and Engineering calendar event, our residents enjoyed a fun and engaging introduction to the world of AI. We chatted about what AI is, how it’s used in everyday life, and answered lots of thoughtful questions during a lively Q&A session. 💭

To bring the conversation to life, we used AI in a creative way... transforming Allan into the role of Prime Minister outside Number 10! 😄

Huge thanks to Spencer from our activities team for leading this wonderful session sparking laughter, curiosity, and plenty of conversation, showing that learning new things can be both accessible and enjoyable at any age. A wonderful example of embracing innovation while having fun together. 💙

Another wonderful December day enjoyed by all! Residents enjoyed live music from the Breakaway Band, sweet visits from Fleur, our beloved emotional support dog, and delicious mince pies with warming mulled wine. 🎶 🐕 🥧 🍷

We also celebrated Franco’s birthday with his family and wife before he headed out for a special meal in the beautiful city of Wells. What a joyful and busy day full of laughter, music, and festive cheer! ❤️

We have welcomed a young Duke of Edinburgh student who joins us every Monday as part of their journey toward achieving their award. ✨

This week, they spent time with Aubrey and Spencer, sharing a wonderful and lively discussion about engineering. A highlight of the morning was when Aubrey proudly showed the student a combustion engine he built, and in return, the student shared examples of 3D printing. It created a truly magical moment between two people with an incredible 86-year age difference. 🥰

Together, they will be exploring engineering and design over the coming months, working toward a joint presentation at the end of the course. We can’t wait to see the progress and creativity that unfolds from this lovely activity. 🌟

Edward took on the task of checking the jigsaws in Fletcher, and what an achievement it turned out to be! He proudly completed a complex 1000 piece puzzle of The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine, a challenge that impressed everyone who stopped by. ⭐

Residents and staff popped in along the way to cheer him on, and together they watched the masterpiece come together piece by piece. Well done, Edward — a fantastic accomplishment! 👏💛

🌟 Our very own tree experts have been busy bringing Christmas magic to life in the home this year! 🎄

Each of our beautiful trees was decorated and placed by residents, with unique themes and styles shining through:

🎄 Edward chose traditional decorations for the front of house.
🎄 Edie picked a stunning red and white theme — and she reminds us every day how lovely it looks!
🎄 Michelina helped with the dining room arch, tying together the themes across the home. ✨

Together, these trees reflect the creativity, joy, and festive spirit of our community, making this season truly special 🥰
