We had a lovely visit from Susie Blower today, who brought in a generous donation of hand-knitted blankets collected by Katie Herbert. The blankets were inspired by Katy Powys but made by Nicky Herbert, her daughter and her step sister.🧶💖

Our talented violinist, Izzy H (15), gave a wonderful performance on Thursday and had double the reason to celebrate! 🎉 She has just passed her GCSE Music a year early with an impressive Grade 9.

A great celebration which was followed by a lovely brunch which lots of tasty treats! 🥂🎻

👥 Your Role as a Care Assistant:
• Deliver compassionate, hands-on support in line with personalised care plans
• Support residents’ physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing
• Encourage independence and dignity in daily living
• Work as part of a warm, supportive team
• Help create a home full of community, laughter, and respect
• Record daily care accurately and contribute to effective teamwork
• Champion safeguarding and best practice at all times

🎓 What We’re Looking For:
• Experience as a Care Assistant is preferred
• A Care Certificate (or willingness to achieve it within 12 months)
• A caring nature and a passion for supporting older people
• Strong teamwork, communication, and reliability
• Knowledge of the 6 principles of care

A huge thank you to Dan Walsh, "Dan the Banjo Man," who entertained us all and made the event truly special. His music got everyone dancing...🕺

Care home open week this week where we had the pleasure of hosting the Mayor of Welshpool, Phil Owen, who judged the finalists of our cake off!

The winner was Nicholle Birkett, our Receptionist, who produced the winning chocolate cake! 🏆

It's safe to say we all throughly enjoyed some amazing cake!! 🍰😋
