“Just rest it and see how it goes.”
This is said a lot whenever an injury occurs. While rest is needed to prevent further injury, its not enough on its own.

After an injury, the body needs more than time off. It needs to heal in the correct way, just rest will not strengthen the injured area to get it back to how it was before. The aim should be to come back stronger to prevent the injury from occurring again.

That’s what proper rehab is all about.
It’s not about rushing back too soon, it’s about returning smarter and stronger.

Rehab isn’t just about recovering from injury.

At JRH Sports Rehabilitation, I work with people not only during recovery, but also when they’re aiming to improve their performance, iron out movement issues, or just feel stronger and more confident in their sport.

Injuries and pain manifest differently in every individual, and while general recovery advise and basic stretches may benefit some, they often fall short for many. I firmly believe that in the field of sports rehabilitation, a personalized and adaptive approach is essential. Tailoring each session to meet the unique needs, limitations, and goals of the individual is not just beneficial, it’s vital for effective and sustainable recovery.

Every session and every plan is tailored to the individual, no two injuries (or recoveries) are the same.

Whether it’s helping someone get back to sport, recover from surgery, or just moving pain free again, every day here is about making progress.

I offer sports taping as part of what I do at JRH Sports Rehabilitation, working with runners, footballers, and everyday athletes who want to feel supported, prevent injury, or get through those key events feeling confident in their bodies.
