Our Cambridgeshire & Peterborough team members - Kaye Bostock, Franklyn Baxter, Gemma Orriss, Ahmad Jebeli, and Sarah Field, took on an epic challenge climbing Ben Nevis! Battling rain, snow, and tough terrain, “The New Adventurers” showed true grit, teamwork, and determination every step of the way. Huge shoutout to Sarah for reaching the summit in extreme conditions, an incredible achievement.

And it wasn’t just about the climb… they’ve also raised over £300 (and counting) for Little Miracles and the Peterborough Cathedral charities. Well done team, we look forward to seeing what challenge they take on next!

Our colleagues in Welwyn Garden City and Peterborough wore green in support of Mental Health Awareness Week. It was a simple, but powerful way to show solidarity and help start conversations about mental health and wellbeing at work and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped raise awareness by wearing green. Your support helps keep this important topic visible and encourages an environment where people feel able to talk and seek support when needed.

This , we met with Samiha Chowdhury, one of our Unscheduled Care Shift Managers and a current medical student.

In this video, she breaks down simply what lupus is, the symptoms, and how it affects her life. "I’ve realised these experiences won’t just shape me as a person, but also the kind of doctor I want to become and the way I advocate for my future patients," she says.

Thank you, Samiha, for your openness and for helping us foster a more empathetic healthcare community. Visit for information, resources and medical talks, as well as a free helpline.

During , we often look for grand gestures of wellness, but the true foundations of resilience are often built in the quiet, challenging moments of our everyday lives.

Today, we are spotlighting Hannah Brockett, one of our Operational Delivery Managers in Bedford.

For Hannah, there wasn’t a particular moment that pushed her to start paying attention to her mental health. She said, “I realised in my early 30’s that I could take some control of my mental health, that small changes in my habits could have a real impact on my overall wellbeing.”

On 10th April, the Hatfield Leisure Centre transformed into a vibrant hub of activity for the Hatfield Family Health Day.

HUC was proud to be part of the event, with Business Relationship Partners, Sophia Woollams and Suzanne Cole, on hand at our dedicated HUC table to meet the public.

Events like the Hatfield Family Health Day are a vital part of what we do at HUC: stepping out of the clinical environment and into the community to support, educate, and connect. A big thank you to Sophia and Suzanne for representing us so brilliantly!
