“Speak from the wound, not the weapon.”
When we feel hurt, we often get defensive and can go on the attack — we might come from a place of anger, accusation, or even silence.
But when we try to be brave and dare to speak from the wound, what actually hurts; something shifts, we soften and others are more inclined to listen.
✨ Try this: The next time you’re in conflict… pause and ask,
“What am I feeling hurt about, how can I express this softly and what am I actually needing right now?”
