When you embark on a journey it’s about making choices and being consistent with them.
I made a choice that I was going to lose my baby weight the way I wanted to.
I didn’t want to be on a diet, I wanted to eat a burger, chocolate, carbs!
I got the balance right by having my two shakes a day, 2 high protein snacks and a balanced dinner.
I made foods I like from home instead of take out and I made sure I was consistent with it.
I made sure I worked out at least twice a week for 30 minutes at hone around the kids consistently.
I practiced meditation and bringing my stress levels down consistently.
I made sure I surrounded myself with like minded people consistently so when I had days where I felt like letting loose I had people to bring me back.
Consistency is the base of success in whatever you chose to do!

It’s a heavy load to make sure we are raising our children to understand they have unlimited potential to be great.
Especially when we live in a time where you could be achieving great things however one little mistake and people are ready to knock you down.
As a sporty active person myself by nature my boys may end up in sport and I will push them as far as there willing to go. Part of me worries for my sons because the world can be cruel.
We lost 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 last night and some may blame it on a three particular individuals, I was absolutely gutted for them. However we are forgetting that those 3 and the rest of the team got to the final. Props where props due, let’s stop the hate and look after our rising stars.

When you are on a high protein diet but you don’t fancy eating meat and veg.
Building muscle requires an adequate amount of the right nutrients so you d end up putting on loads of fat instead.

The average protein intake for an adult is 0.75g-1g of protein per kg of body weight. If you train light to moderately, maybe you play a sport then 1.5g per kg of body weight is adequate.
I’m on about 2g of protein per kg of body weight.
Protein is not a nutrient that is stored meaning what you body doesn’t use will come out the other side, eating loads of protein is not going to make your muscle suddenly double in size.
Being in a calorie surplus will so including carbs, healthy fats and micronutrients is still key.
Protein helps the muscles recovery and repair where the growth process works at its optimum, so you want to make sure your really exhausting your muscles through a workout before adding any protein supplement to your regime. Alternatively you can find protein options available if you want to increase your intake through foods.

Happy Tuesday, this is the exact reason I encourage all my clients to take pictures throughout their journey.
Body weight can sometimes not change but body fat can.
When we are training and increasing our protein intake we start to build muscle. So as we are losing we are also building which can have the scales staying the same. Doesn’t mean your body proportions aren’t changing. Muscle is more dense then fat meaning 1lb of fat looks bigger then 1lb of muscle.

Don’t focus on the weight, it’s how you feel, fit into your clothes, how toned you are 😃

My little munchkin has had a rough past week and mummy is coming out in sympathy for him.
Feeling drained, nauseous, loss my appetite and I just want to sleep.
However if my little man can put on a brave face so can I too.

We keep moving!
No weight training session today, as I don’t think I’ll make it through my class at 6pm.
