Hosted in partnership with Oak Hill Lawn Cemetery and Crematorium, we’re pleased to welcome Tracey Dixon, Bereavement Team Leader, who will be offering support, guidance and a listening ear in a warm and understanding environment.

what a busy week its been, supporting Dementia Action Week, out in the community attending events, stalls at East & North Hertfordshire Hospitals' Charity, Welwyn Hatfield Dementia Friendly Community Partnership hosting a coffee morning fundraiser, supporting our residents and families and that we raised £159.50 for Alzheimer's Society. Thank you everyone who attended our coffee morning and all the support given to make it happen!

🏆🎂 The winner of the Country Court Bake-Off Competition is... Charlotte Legge from Castor Lodge Care Home! 🎂🏆

Charlotte wowed the judges with her incredible campervan-themed birthday cake, featuring four delicious layers: Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Drizzle, Red Velvet and Victoria Sponge. Inspired by an era loved by residents, the ambitious design showcased exceptional creativity, skill and attention to detail.

This year's competition celebrated the amazing birthday cakes our teams lovingly create for residents and colleagues, making special occasions even more memorable. Judged on presentation, taste, innovation and baking skill, the standard was incredibly high.

A huge congratulations also goes to our fantastic finalists:
⭐ Marzena Turowska from Tallington Lodge Care Home with her resident-inspired Raspberry & Pistachio Cake
⭐ Victoria Bullingham from our Central Services Payroll Team with her beautifully decorated Lemon Drizzle Cake

Our residents and staff team at Oakview Lodge Care & Nursing Home - Country Court had a fantastic time taking part in a fun boxercise session together this week. From punch combinations to plenty of giggles along the way, it was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, building confidence and enjoying time together.🥊😊

Activities like this are not only great for keeping active, but also for boosting wellbeing, encouraging social interaction and creating special moments between residents and staff. Safe to say there were lots of smiles all round! 😊💜
