NB Counselling Counselling Services for Individuals and Couples I work with a diverse cultural client base and offer a confidential service to Individuals and Couples.

I am a psychodynamically trained counsellor/therapist and graduated from University of Hertfordshire in MA Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling. I offer a professional service and a caring space to talk about the difficulties that you may be going through at this time. I am passionate about my work and committed to help you realise the changes and goals you want to make in your life and as a couple . It may be that you lack confidence, or a voice or even the words, understanding this together can make the difference. I provide a warm, welcoming space to speak freely and openly without judgement. There are times in life when there are more questions than answers. Whatever you are going through, life’s anxieties and hurts can feel isolating. Seeking professional help is the first step to overcoming and understanding yourself and your situation. As a registered member of the BACP ( British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), I adhere and work to their ethical framework. Contact me to take the first step in a new direction.

When we can't explore, its usually about being stuck in the left brain loop. Trauma keeps us stuck and separated from the right brain feeling (emotions) part. We stick to rigidity as a protection from uncertainty and the unknown ( exploration, reflexivity). Reflexively is an attachment foundation block, to be able to think about thinking, making interpretations and reflecting on a situation, feeling or experience. Its reflective of the inner felt world. Opposed to left brain, logical, strategic, concrete..detached from the trauma, but also self. The concept of mentalization comes from this, it's an empathic, reciprocal attunment to the infant from the caregiver that builds our capacity of self and holding unknowns, uncertainty. Defense, protection, stuckness and resistance are part of this rigid thinking. No new information can go in unless we can build a bridge for right brain connection, so we can have integration of our whole experience and then make sense or meaning from them.
