An appointment message about the Emergency Alerts system which will be activated this Sunday at 3pm.❗️

The Emergency Alerts system is used to warn if there’s a danger to life nearby, including extreme weather. Regular testing ensures the system is functioning correctly, should it need to be used in a life-threatening emergency.

This is a danger for victims of domestic abuse who have a concealed phone - you will need to take action in order to turn the alert off. ⬇️

Hot on the heels of our Chief Medical Officer being shortlisted for a HSJ Awards 2025, our Children and Young People’s Integrated Therapy (CYPT) Service has also been recognised! 🎉

Our FOLLOW initiative – “Top tips for talking in early years” has been shortlisted in the Early Intervention and Prevention for Children, Young People and Families category.

💬 Our amazing Speech and Language Therapy team, led by the wonderful Cathy and Becky, developed FOLLOW in order to give parents, carers and early years professionals simple, evidence-based strategies to support children’s communication skills – skills that are vital for learning, playing and connecting with others.

This year’s HSJ Awards saw more than 1,250 entries – with just 245 shortlisted, we’re incredibly proud of our team for achieving this national recognition. 🙌
