Recently at Heath Lodge Care Centre , we took some time to celebrate our wonderful nurses for International Nurses Day 💜

Our lovely residents and team were so pleased to recognise the care, kindness and dedication our nurses show every single day. To say thank you, our manager Mihaela presented each nurse with a personalised gift and appreciation certificate as a small token of how much they are valued 😊

We are so lucky to have such a compassionate team caring for our residents every day 🌸

Heath Lodge Care Centre came together this week for our monthly residents’ meeting, with everyone gathering around the table for a good chat and catch up 💜

Our Home Manager Mihaela and Admin Sibel led the session, and it was lovely to hear from residents Jeanine, Vallarie, Michael Chase, Kathleen, Concepta and Dorothy as they shared their thoughts and joined in the conversation 😊

Moments like these are so important in our home, giving everyone a chance to be heard, stay connected, and shape day to day life together 🌷

We’ve been celebrating National Gardening Week at Heath Lodge Care Centre with a lovely indoor gardening session for our residents 🪴

There were plenty of smiles around the table as everyone enjoyed planting seeds, chatting together and getting their hands stuck into a bit of gardening 😊 It quickly became a favourite activity, with residents taking great pride in caring for their own plants.

It was so lovely seeing everyone relaxed, engaged and enjoying those simple moments together 💜

We had such a lovely bingo session at Heath Lodge Care Centre , with plenty of smiles all round 💜

Jeanine, Concepta, Kathleen, John, Vallarie, Carol, Patricia, RonaMary, Nigel and Sharon all joined in, and it quickly turned into a lively afternoon. There was that familiar buzz with each number called, a bit of friendly competition, and lots of laughter shared across the room ✨

Everyone was fully in the moment, marking their cards and cheering each other on. It is always so nice to see our residents encouraging one another and enjoying something together like this 💬

A big congratulations to John for today’s win, which was met with a lovely round of applause from everyone. Moments like these really do bring our home together 💜

This week at Heath Lodge Care Centre , our lovely residents enjoyed a truly lovely pampering session with our hairdresser Bernadette 💜

There was a really calm and relaxed feel in the room as everyone settled in for a gentle hair wash and a fresh haircut. Bernadette took such great care with each person, and there were plenty of easy chats and smiles throughout 💇‍♀️

Alongside this, residents also enjoyed a soothing manicure, which added that extra little touch of care and comfort. It was one of those sessions where everyone could just sit back, unwind and enjoy being looked after 💅

By the end, there was a real sense of feeling refreshed and uplifted all round, with lots of happy faces and a lovely atmosphere that stayed with us for the rest of the day!

It has been such a lovely, full week here at Heath Lodge Care Centre , with so many little moments that brought smiles all around 💜

We have spent time piecing together jigsaws, getting stuck into word searches and enjoying some relaxed colouring sessions. There has also been plenty of laughter during our gentle ball games, with everyone joining in at their own pace and cheering each other on 🧩🎨

Our garden walks have been a real highlight, giving our lovely residents the chance to enjoy the fresh air, take in the greenery and have those easy, unhurried chats along the way 🌿

We have also shared some calmer moments with sensory activities and doll therapy, which brought comfort, connection and a lovely sense of reassurance to those who enjoy them. It really has been a week full of togetherness and simple joys 💜

This month at Heath Lodge Care Centre , our amazing residents have been enjoying some truly lovely time outdoors with a relaxing gardening session 🌱💜

Vallarie, Patricia, Concepta and Jeanine spent a peaceful afternoon together planting a beautiful mix of sunflowers, marigolds and dahlias. There was plenty of gentle chat as they prepared the soil, carefully planted each seed and made sure everything was just right 🌻

It was such a calm and happy activity, with everyone enjoying the fresh air and the simple pleasure of working together. Moments like these always bring a nice sense of connection and achievement, and the garden felt full of life even before anything has started to grow 🌸

We’re all looking forward to seeing the colours come through over the coming weeks and watching the garden bloom a little more each day

We had such a beautiful celebration here at Heath Lodge Care Centre as we marked Theresa's 93rd birthday 🎉💜

Theresa was surrounded by her lovely family and our wonderful staff, and the whole day felt so warm and full of love. The home looked so special with the decorations, and there was such a lovely moment when everyone gathered around the stunning birthday cake to celebrate her day 🎂

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and shared memories throughout the afternoon, with everyone coming together to make Theresa feel truly celebrated. It was really special to see her so happy, enjoying time with the people who mean so much to her ❤️

What a wonderful milestone and a truly lovely day all round ✨

April didn’t feel like one big moment across our homes, but lots of smaller ones and that’s what made it so special 💜

There were Easter crafts, feasts, time spent outside as the weather picked up, and plenty of conversations sparked along the way. We also took time to recognise Autism Acceptance Week and Parkinson’s Awareness Week, creating space to learn, reflect and support one another.

St George’s Day brought a bit of fun and familiarity too, with simple touches that made people smile 🏴

It’s these everyday moments that shape life in our homes, not just the celebrations, but the time spent together in between.

A big thank you, as always, to our teams for everything they do to make those moments happen
