Hi all, I just wanted to come on here and update you all. I am now back home following a traumatic brain injury, which is basically a bleed on the brain and swelling of my optic nerve.

Thank you for all your lovely comments and messages, sorry I haven’t replied but screens are making me sick and dizzy— I really have put my family through a bit of stress! 🤣

I’m gutted to say I’ve had to withdraw from the competition at Bicton and have been signed off from work, but I’ll continue to update you and be in touch with those booked in.

Hugo is famous 😍

Drum Roll Please...

Our FIRST face of South Moor Equine is the handsome Hugo. Look out for him on our banner from October.

If you missed out this time don't panic, we had so many fantastic photos sent in that we struggled to pick a shortlist let alone one face to represent us for the whole of Autumn.

So, keep your eye's peeled, Hugo may not be the only cover star you see on our page.

📚🐴 CPD Day at B&W Equine Vets 🐴📚

Today I’m doing a Continued Professional Development (CPD) day at B&W Equine Vets, focusing on lameness work-ups.

Looking at gait assessment, diagnostic imaging, and the use of the Lameness Locator, a highly sensitive tool that measures subtle asymmetries in a horse’s movement to support accurate diagnosis. It’s a great opportunity to refresh skills, share knowledge, and stay up to date with the latest approaches in equine lameness investigations for one of my clients.

Continuous learning ensures we give every horse the best possible care. 💙🐎

💙So glad I was able to be a part of this lovely mares rehab journey 💙

🌟 A big thank you to Annastasia Cross Veterinary Physiotherapy for her continued support and laser treatments over the past six weeks with one of our mares recovering from a slight ligament tear.

After four weeks of box rest, we began gentle walking work — just 10 minutes a day. We knew we needed some extra support for her recovery, and that’s when we found Anna. With her laser treatment plan and advice, the progress has been incredible.

✨ From those first careful steps, we’re now up to 45 minutes to an hour of hacking, including trotting and a bit of cantering. Her leg has shown a massive improvement, and throughout she has become stronger, fitter, and so much more willing to go forward.

Anna has been brilliant every step of the way — always on time, calm, friendly, and offering great guidance on when to progress exercise and turnout. We’re so grateful for her help in getting our girl back on track! 🐴💫

👉 If you’d like to hear more about our full rehab plan and how we managed her recovery step by step, let us know in the comments and we’ll share more details.

Little Bonny has has her back looked at by the brilliant Annastasia Cross Veterinary Physiotherapy and she showed to be incredibly sore across her saddle area - likely a lot of the reasoning for any negative behaviour she may have been showing under saddle.

Hopefully now shell be feeling good as new 💕
