Here's the second instalment of our client's first treatment blog. Scroll back a few posts for part 1.
âI headed through to the bathroom, had been asked to have a wee, then I stripped off my clothing and underwear from the waist down (apart from my socks, which apparently could stay on!) Iâd been a bit nervous on the lead up as Iâd been on my period but Jane had reassured me that it was fine and that as long as sanitary products were removed beforehand, there were no issues.
I was given a blanket to wrap around myself then I head back out into the clinic.
Jane asked me to lay down on the bed next and she started to explain the equipment to me and what would be happening. Firstly though, she had a feel of my tummy so she could figure out what may be going on.
She could immediately tell I had lots of trapped gas high up in my stomach. Things fell distended so she mentioned she would be using some Licorice Root and Fennel tincture in the water to help release the gases.
Jane got things ready and asked me to lay on my side. She started things off by inserting the tube which I couldnât even feel. She asked me to relax and breathe deeply whilst she did this which really helped.
She then started the water flowing and apart from a slightly warm feeling, it didnât feel weird at all!"
Third and final part to come next week.
