Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.. but if you're already contemplating your next.. or 1st.. colonic, here's some available dates with have at both clinics for the first few days of January 2026

These spaces won't be here for long, so jump onto the online booking system, remember to make sure you select the clinic you want to visit, & now we've two therapists, be sure to select the lovely lady you'd like to see, or if it's a case of just wanting to get into our diary, check the 'no preference' box & then the available dates & times will pop up

We're concluding our Christmas wellbeing tips from the team with a note from Jane 💜 You have got this everyone - enjoy!

Jane says, "Try to relax and not get overwhelmed with everything. We all strive for the perfect festive holiday and put so much stress on ourselves, when really it's just quality time with family and friends that is important.

This in turn will help our nervous system relax, so we aren't in the sympathetic flight and flight all of the time. This state can generate lots of gross gas in our gut, so in turn helps gas and bloating. Breathwork, deep belly breathing, relax!"

It sets me up for limiting stress, forming more meaningful traditions for the family/friends, not getting lost in the overwhelm, thinking of more meaningful gifts & the all important self care & time for grounding, enjoying the season.. nutrition for the mind is as equally important as nutrition for the body."

Here are 5 of the most frequently answered questions when it comes to colon hydrotherapy treatment. You can find out more and book your next appointment below.

💦 Can I have colon hydrotherapy whilst I'm pregnant?

We cannot treat you in any term of your pregnancy. We're able to treat you again after your 6 week postnatal check.

💦 Will I be able to see or smell anything?

We used a closed system meaning everything is sealed off and you won't be able to smell anything in the treatment room. There's an option for you to see or not see what is happening during treatment. We will ask you at the beginning.

💦 What can I do to prepare for treatment?

Before you come to your appointment, eat normally because we want to see your bowel as it would normally be. That way, we can pinpoint any issues to help you solve them. Hydrate, and DO NOT worry about any grooming! We will not be judging!

💦 How long does colon hydrotherapy take?

Around an hour and a quarter from when you arrive to when you leave. You'll have your consultation, then your appointment, then 10-15 mins on the loo at the end.

💦 Does it hurt?

Most people find the procedure to be relaxing with no discomfort. The colon fills and empties regularly as part of its normal function, so the treatment is nothing new. You may feel varying sensations of fullness and movement in your abdomen throughout the treatment as we massage your tummy. Some people feel a sense of mild cramping at points but this passes quickly.

We all know that Christmas can be a touch stressful as we get older. So we've asked our wonderful team for their tips for surviving the festive season, both physically and mentally!

Here's what Sarah said,

"I’m advising my clients to listen to their bodies/colon and know their boundaries. Don’t over indulge but still enjoy Christmas food, remembering to still drink their water, alcohol can dehydrate you. I'm also reminding them to still have protein and fibre in their diet, and enjoy a walk after dinner 😊"

📣Colonic School News 📣

We have had so many enquiries from people wanting to train with us, but they didn't have the required background to do so. And we wanted to create a way for those people to do so too.

So we are thrilled to announce that now, even if you have no medical or complementary training background, you can do a training pathway put into place by ARCH, to help you get where you want to be.

Introducing our Sarah 😃

Sarah was the first person to join Jane in the Gedling Colonics team back in 2022. She had a long history in the NHS in various roles and has extensive experience in dealing with, and understanding, a variety of conditions and medications.

She spent years having colon hydrotherapy to help ease IBS symptoms before she trained and joined the business so she has first hand experience in advising and helping our wonderful clients.

She is fully trained with ARCH and works from our West Bridgford clinic.
