For , let’s come together to help raise awareness of

We need your help to achieve our vision of future where nobody dies of bowel cancer. The earlier the disease is spotted the more treatable it is likely to be.

Know the symptoms of bowel cancer:
- bleeding from your bottom
- blood in your poo
- a change in your pooing habits. You might be going more or less often, or have diarrhoea or constipation that might come and go
- losing weight but you’re not sure why
- feeling very tired all the time but you’re not sure why
- a pain or lump in your tummy

Having these symptoms doesn’t always mean you have bowel cancer, but it’s still important to find out what’s causing them. If you have any of these symptoms or if something doesn’t feel right, ask your GP for an at-home-test.

If you’re affected by bowel cancer, we’re here for you every step of the way. 💛

The NHS is expanding its bowel cancer screening programme to include individuals aged 50 to 74, aiming to detect the disease earlier and improve survival rates.

This expansion is a significant achievement, influenced by the dedicated campaigning of Dame Deborah James.

By the end of March, those aged 50 and 52 will receive home testing kits, with the programme gradually extending to all individuals aged 50 to 74.

Early detection through screening can save lives, and this initiative reflects the NHS’s commitment to enhancing public health.
