Our paediatric diabetes team were excited by the announcement from Barbie today!
Liz - clinical nurse specialist says "Really pleased to see this Barbie doll with an insulin pump and blood glucose sensor. Hybrid closed loop is where the insulin pump adjusts the insulin delivery depending on blood sugar reading from the sensor.

Please remember your spacer when using an inhaler so that it goes into your lungs 🫁 and works properly

Always use a spacer to take your inhaler, if it’s an MDI (metered dose inhaler).

A spacer helps the medication get to where it needs to go! 🫁
