What better way to welcome a new year than together, with warmth, culture, and a feast to remember? At Drayton Village Care Centre , we proudly celebrated Chinese New Year 2026, welcoming the Year of the Horse with joy and togetherness 🐎🎊

On this special day, our lovely residents from all three floors came together, filling the home with excitement and a shared sense of occasion. Our dining space became a hub of celebration, where friendships were strengthened and new memories were made 🏮

A delicious Chinese-inspired feast was lovingly prepared for everyone to enjoy, featuring sweet and sour chicken, fluffy rice, savoury egg noodles, and a tempting selection of appetisers. As residents dined, the gentle sounds of traditional Chinese music created a calming and immersive atmosphere, bringing the celebration to life 🎶🥢

This was more than just a meal, it was a moment of unity, cultural appreciation, and shared happiness as we welcomed a new year full of hope, energy, and good fortune 💟

On St Patrick’s Day, our home came alive with warmth, laughter and a true sense of togetherness as residents gathered to celebrate this special Irish tradition🍀

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a lovingly prepared lunch of classic gammon, tender potatoes and comforting cabbage, bringing the flavours of Ireland straight to the table and sparking fond memories of celebrations gone by 🥔

With traditional Irish music gently playing in the background, the room was filled with storytelling, smiles and shared moments as everyone reminisced and connected through music and food 🎶

Who says Valentine’s Day is only for couples? At Drayton Village Care Centre , it was a heartfelt celebration of friendship, memories, and the wonderful women who make our home so special 🥰

On a beautiful Valentine’s morning, we welcomed our lovely ladies into a carefully decorated dining space, transformed with warm touches and loving detail to create a truly special atmosphere 💐

Our team hosted a delightful brunch, thoughtfully prepared to bring joy to every table. Residents were treated to a delicious selection of pastries, including freshly baked croissants, indulgent waffles, and beautifully decorated cupcakes made just for the occasion. Every bite was a small reminder of how cherished they are 🧁

As laughter filled the room and stories were shared, the morning became more than just a brunch. It was a moment of connection, celebration, and appreciation for the incredible women who are at the heart of our community 😄

There were smiles all around as we welcomed a very special visitor to our home for a heart-warming session of pet therapy. Nellie the dog, lovingly brought in by our unit manager Laura, made another much anticipated visit, bringing comfort, joy, and plenty of tail wags with her 🐾

From the moment Nellie arrived, residents were delighted to spend time with her, enjoying gentle strokes, playful moments, and the calming presence that only a friendly dog can bring. These visits have become something truly special, offering meaningful opportunities for residents to connect, engage, and experience the simple happiness that animals can provide 💟

There was laughter, conversation, and many tender moments shared as Nellie made her way around, brightening everyone’s day. Pet therapy continues to be a wonderful way to support wellbeing, encouraging interaction, lifting spirits, and creating a warm and comforting atmosphere within our home 🐶✨

Creativity and teamwork were on full display in our dining room as our lovely residents came together to celebrate National Pizza Day with a wonderfully interactive pizza making session. The room was filled with excitement as everyone took the lead in designing their very own personalised pizzas, making the day feel extra special and full of flavour 🍕

With a wide selection of toppings to choose from, including classic pepperoni and delicious vegetarian options, residents enjoyed making their own choices, sharing ideas, and bringing their creations to life. Laughter and conversation flowed as each pizza was carefully prepared, creating a warm and social atmosphere that everyone could enjoy ✨

Once ready, our talented chefs baked each pizza to perfection before serving them out as a tasty afternoon treat for all to share. There was a real sense of pride among residents, knowing they had created something not just for themselves, but for their friends too, making the experience even more meaningful 💟

It was a joyful celebration filled with creativity, connection, and the simple pleasure of good food, a perfect way to mark National Pizza Day together 😊

From Valentine’s celebrations and pancake making for Shrove Tuesday, to learning about Chinese New Year and enjoying visits from some very special furry friends, it’s been another month full of smiles, creativity and time spent together.

Across our 46 homes, these everyday moments are what make each community so special. They’re made possible by the kindness, energy and dedication of our incredible teams, who work so hard to create meaningful experiences for residents 💜👏

This week, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming students from Strode's College into our home, where they spent a wonderful afternoon singing with our residents ❤️

The visit brought together two generations, as our residents and the talented, enthusiastic students filled the room with music, laughter, and smiles. Throughout the afternoon, familiar songs and well-loved classics were sung, with many residents joining in, clapping along, and reminiscing as the melodies played 🎤

Held right here in our home, the afternoon wasn’t just about singing - it was about connection. The students came to share their time and talents, and in return, meaningful conversations, shared memories, and heartwarming moments were created. Music has such a special way of bringing people together, and this visit was a beautiful reminder of why these intergenerational experiences are so important

Our wonderful residents at Drayton Village Care Centre enjoyed a Galentine’s afternoon, with painting, a delicious spread of sweet treats, and a gentle sip of prosecco. Whether getting creative with a paintbrush, enjoying the treats, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, everyone was able to join in and feel included.
