Breast Mobile Screening Unit – Longsight Asda

Currently one of our Mobile Breast Screening units is at Asda Longsight – this is where we are inviting women from surrounding GP Practices who are due for their screening to attend for their appointments.
We are having an Open Day on 2nd July 2025 from 10.00am – 3.00pm for any ladies who wish to come and have a look around the mobile screening unit and to ask any questions in relation to having breast screening. Even though the Open day is at Longsight Asda women from other areas and localities can attend. Please note we will not be carrying out any mammograms on the day but women who are eligible or who have missed an appointment can contact the screening unit to book an appointment.

We have been alerted to a fraudster phoning patients from another local practice pretending to be a member of the GP team. They then offered medication for a price. We will never ask for you to pay for any medication and would advise that if someone saying they are from the practice calls asking for money for anything that you end the call and contact the practice number.

Are you over 40? The only way to know if you have high blood pressure is to get a blood pressure test to lower your risk of a fatal heart attack, stroke, kidney disease or vascular dementia.

Did you know that you can come and have your blood pressure checked in the surgery without an appointment? The surgery pod located in reception has a blood pressure machine which is linked to our clinical system so that your results are documented in your medical records. Reception staff are fully trained on how to use the machine so can help you if you need it.
