With this beautiful weather, partnered with ‘feet coming out of hibernation’ and holiday season upon us, I am finding myself exceptionally busy. Due to the lack of routine NHS Podiatry service, myself and other private Podiatrists are now inundated with demand. There is no NHS service to residential/care homes/ mental health patients / blind/stroke/neurological patients etc etc this now all is covered by a private podiatrists.

To clarify what IS available to the public with regards to NHS podiatry:

- ingrowing toenail surgery/toenail removal
-woundcare (ie diabetic or other)
- MSK/orthotics/insoles (musculoskeletal podiatry - ie heel pain, plantar fasciitis, arthritic joints in foot, tendon strains in foot etc)

All of these services are available to the public on a self-referral basis - on your surgery website.

If you are unable to print the relevant forms off I can give you a hard copy on request for you to post.

Thank you to all my patients new, old and loyal, I am so grateful for your understanding whilst I try to navigate and deliver the best service to my patients.

I will be reviewing my pricing over the coming months in line with increasing national private Podiatry costings/services. This will inevitably mean a substantial increase in current prices, whilst I deliver the best service I can for my patients .

With well over 20 years experience in both the NHS and Private practice I feel I have a great deal to contribute to West Kilbride and the wider community with regards to footcare.
