We have the following vacancy at Lear House:

PERMANENT POST FOR A SENIOR CARER

Abbeyfield Hoylake & West Kirby Society, Lear House have a vacancy for a Senior Care Assistant.

We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to work 2 or 3 x 12-hour shifts over 7 days each week, this is a permanent position.

You will join our amazing team of carers at Abbeyfield and be part of our highly reputable and established home, providing non-nursing care to 24 older people.

Salary: - You will be paid £14.47 per hour with an uplift to £19.29 per hour for weekend work.
Salaries are reviewed every April.

Qualified in Health and Social Care to level 3

This was our second Intergenerational Baby Boogie session with Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories
and we all had a fantastic time!

It's so lovely watching everyone getting to know each other and enjoying their time together.

Another fun afternoon with Carla last week!

After working on flexibility and strength with us, the fun began with balloon tennis!

Last week we had a wonderful morning crafting with the children from Caroline's Childminding and Trinity Childminding

It was lovely to spend time with them and see everyone working together!

A big thank you to Liz from Flowers by Elizabeth - Liverpool for a wonderful afternoon of silk flower arranging last Saturday.

We had a fabulous afternoon last week with Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories

The theme of the session was 'Best of British' and we remembered Ken Dodd (with tickling sticks!), Cliff Richard, the Beatles and Lita Roza who sang How Much is that Doggie in the Window.

Great music, dancing and lots of fun and laughter! We finished the session by looking at Jenna's wonderful memory boxes - lots of photos and books about Liverpool which always bring back memories and spark conversations.

Happy Birthday to Thelma who celebrated her special day yesterday with everyone at Lear House!

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of music with the fabulous Sandra Currie - lots of great songs including Thelma's favourite 'Slow Boat to China'.

As it's VE Day this coming Friday Sandra also included some songs to mark the occasion.

Last Wednesday morning we held our first Intergenerational Baby Boogie session with the wonderful Jenna from Boogie Woogie Music, Movement & Memories and we all loved it!

There was lots for the children to explore and play with and we learnt a lot from Jenna about how babies develop and grow.

The sessions will be continuing on Wednesday mornings during May and we're already looking forward to the next one this week!
