So many people think the aim of birth preparation and hypnobirthing is to completely remove fear. Yes, sometimes that happens. And when it does - fab.

But it’s not necessarily the approach I take, or what I tell my clients the aim is.

The truth is, you might have wobbles in pregnancy. You might have moments of tension in birth. We can reduce the chance of them with supported preparation, absolutely. But we won’t necessarily be able to completely remove the chance of them.

That’s why when you do Hypnobirthing with me, instead we focus on bringing your fears and worries to light. What’s the thoughts that might rattle you? What scenarios are you worrying about coming across? Then, we talk about how you face them. Proper tools, techniques and methods that help you work through fear, rather than feeling like you need to run away from it.

That’s where the true power in preparation lies.

You’ve got two support offerings with me. 1:1 for a truly personalised approach, or Breathe Easy, for instant prep in your own time.

Both available to purchase on www.breatheintobirth.com

Listen… I know what you’ve been told.

But birth prep is NOT actually about making sure everything goes perfectly. Because that will never be a guarantee.

Instead, it’s about knowing what to do when it doesn’t.

Because the truth is… you might freak out.

You might have a wobble.

Your mind might race.

Your body might tense up.

And that doesn’t mean hypnobirthing failed you, or that you’ve failed yourself. It means labour is intense and you’re human.

What matters is what you do next.

Because having a plan for the hard moment is the whole point. This is birth preparation that actually prepares you.

Save this. Share it with your birth partner so they know how to support you. Come back to it at 3am when the anxiety kicks in because not only does this work in labour, it also works in pregnancy 😉

I realised today I’ve not spoken about this before.

Hypnobirthing massively improved my second birth experience… but… not immediately.

At first, it felt odd. It felt hollow. And it felt like it wasn’t making a difference at all.

The Hypnobirthing course I was following made it seem so easy; so why wasn’t it making a difference?

Then I realised why. The positivity didn’t feel safe because at this point it was just words. Words my body believe. All I was doing with the toxic positivity was pushing the anxiety away instead of working through it.

So, I started journalling. I wrote down my worries. I spoke to the people closest to me. I did more research. I made some plans.

And then finally, it started to click. The words meant something to me. The visualisations started to feel exciting. Everything I was putting into practise started to feel right.

That’s exactly why I create a focus on recognising your worries in my courses. That’s why I teach nervous system regulation tools as well as Hypnobirthing techniques.

Because the only way out it is through it.

And if you want someone to hold your hand through it, you know where to find me 👀

I’m a huge believer in “feel the fear and do it anyway”. It’s how i’ve spent the past 2 years of my life lol.But that so...

I’m a huge believer in “feel the fear and do it anyway”. It’s how i’ve spent the past 2 years of my life lol.

But that sounds a hell of a lot scarier where there really is no other option. I mean baby’s coming... there’s no rescheduling to or back pedalling to be done here!

But what if there was another option?

Picture it... you are 38 weeks pregnant, lying in bed.... and instead of the 3am spiral, you feel ready.

Not “I’ve googled every possible question and worry until I couldn’t bear to look anymore” ready. Actually ready. The kind that comes from understanding what’s happening in your body, knowing what to do when things get intense, and having already practised the tools you’ll reach for on the day.

That’s what Breathe Easy is designed to give you.

Not a false sense of calm. Not toxic positivity. Just the stuff that actually moves the needle and transforms experiences. The knowledge, the techniques, and the confidence that comes from feeling genuinely prepared.
If you’re growing a little bubs and the unknown is feeling a bit loud right now, this was made for you.

Everyone’s always worrying about the pain they’ll experience in labour. How will it feel? How will I cope?

Honestly, that’s often the easiest challenge to overcome. Controversial I know, but honestly once you start to learn how your body works in labour it becomes super clear how you support it through the discomfort.

The biggest challenge is how you feel mentally.

Birth trauma isn’t often about the pain felt, or even about the way baby was born. It’s often about how it felt in the experience. How we were treated. How in control we felt.

This matters and not enough people talk about it.

The best way to protect your birth experience is to make sure you know what to expect and how you’ll cope with it. That’s exactly where I come in.

Breathe Easy is available for instant access to birth prep via the link in my bio. 🤍

I think it’s written all over my face.

Awe.

From a birth experience where I walked out feeling like a piece of crap, to an experience where I couldn’t believe the strength and power I had within me. The magic, one could say.

I don’t think there’s a one size fits all when it comes to birth. Everyone’s birth will look differently because everyone’s circumstances are different, but what I do know, is that every woman deserves to feel that “magic.”

Zen home birth, chill hospital birth, or even the more intense situations - intervention, induction, c-section… every single woman deserves to walk away from that proud. Amazed at her power to get through one of the biggest moments of their life.

So why isn’t it happening for some? Why do some women walk away feeling ashamed? Gutted? Traumatised?

Of course, it’s a multifaceted issue… but to keep it simple for a sec, a big part of it is because, when we don’t have the knowledge on how to navigate birth, it’s very easy to feel swept away by it.

To say yes when your mind is screaming no. To feel anxious instead of calm. To fall into patterns of fear because you literally don’t know how to do anything to support yourself.

The magic is within every one of us. But sometimes, the conditioning, the fear, the people pleasing and ignoring our instincts… it run so deep that we need a little helping hand to find that magic again.

That’s where I come in. ✨

Monday morning did I think this was coming? Absolutely not 😅 I’m not usually as impulsive but sometimes you really do just have to go with your gut.
