This Mother’s Day, let’s celebrate those who care for everyone else by reminding them to care for themselves too.

Breast screening saves around 1300 lives every year in the UK. Women aged 50–71 are eligible and invited for regular screening every 3 years via the NHS Breast Screening Programme. These quick appointments can help detect breast cancer early — often before symptoms appear.

If you receive your screening invitation, please attend. And if you know anyone in this age group, please gently encourage them to go along to their appointment.

Early detection can make all the difference. This Mother’s Day, the best gift we can give is a reminder that their health matters too. 🎉

🌏In honour of World Cancer Day (4th February 2026) there is no better time to learn how to be breast aware.🌏

❓ Did you know... Over half of the women in the UK do not check their breasts regularly for potential signs of breast cancer.

We know that early detection leads to better outcomes. By checking your chest (monthly) and attending regular breast screening (every x3 years between 50-70+) you are more likely to detect changes to your chest sooner.
