LEAD ROTARY DRILLERS AND SUPPORT OPERATIVES

Based near Devizes | UK-wide projects

Marshall Drilling is expanding and is seeking both experienced Lead Rotary Drillers (Geotechnical) and Support Operatives to join our site operations team.

Role Overview
Work at the forefront of geotechnical site operations using a modern fleet of specialist drilling equipment, including Comacchio rigs and low ground pressure equipment.

Lead Drillers will take charge of operations on site, operating high-spec rotary rigs and delivering complex ground investigation works.

Support Operatives will assist with drilling activities, gain hands-on experience with industry-leading equipment, and receive full training with clear progression into senior drilling roles.

Both roles offer the opportunity to work on diverse projects nationwide, in varied environments, as part of a skilled and professional team.

As our lorry driver, Andy plays a huge role in what we do. From early starts to long days on the road, he’s responsible for transporting our plant and machinery nationwide navigating the roads and making sure everything arrives exactly where it needs to be, when it needs to be there!

It’s a job that takes skill, patience, and real attention to detail.
Whether he’s loading up, securing equipment, planning routes, or working with site teams to position machinery safely, Andy handles it all.

Andy is a true team player and a reliable pair of hands, a positive presence, and a key part of our operation!

March has been a productive and fast-paced month for the team, with 17 drilling crews operating across approximately 22 projects nationwide.

Our crews have been active up and down the UK, maintaining strong momentum while balancing multiple sites and varying project demands.

Despite the scale and spread of operations, coordination has remained effective, with teams continuing to deliver consistent progress and uphold high standards of safety and quality.

This level of activity highlights both the capability and flexibility of our workforce, as well as our ongoing commitment to meeting project timelines and client expectations.

We have recently invested in a new Geo 305 Comacchio rig, further strengthening our fleet and capability across ground investigation projects.

Investing in modern equipment helps ensure our teams can deliver projects efficiently, safely and to the highest standard.

This is our 12th Comacchio drilling rig from UK dealer - a testament to the service and backup we receive.
