HW Facilities H&W is a commercial cleaning and facilities management company that provides a wide range of services to its clients.

With over 450 contracts between public and private sectors covering the south of England, our team of contracts managers, mobile technicians and site supervisors work closely with our cleaning operatives to ensure all our clients receive a reliable service with high standards. We believe good communication is key to our success. Our contract managers are always available out of hours which means we are always able to respond quickly to any emergency situation. Established in 1974, H&W started as a family company and is now providing a wide range of commercial cleaning services across Southern England. Since we started there have been several factors which we consider are core to our business. As such it has always been paramount that communication between clients and managers is excellent. Whilst H&W is a growing company, it remains important that we continue to give our customers the attention they would receive from a smaller, personable company. Aside from communication we believe that staff selection and training is key to maintain high cleaning standards. For all new employees we provide comprehensive training. This training is followed up with regular visits from the mobile supervisor or contracts manager. Usually new employees will be employed on a probation period basis. Employee’s performance is measured through quality inspection cards, customer satisfaction calls and random inspections by the contracts manager. In the event that the contracts manager is unhappy with an employee’s level of performance then they will take action on this, for example further training or disciplinary action. In addition, since 2009 H&W has been successful in achieving ISO:9001 and Safe Contractor accreditations. This has been very important in developing a rigorous quality system and a robust Health & Safety Policy to ensure that the company is compliant with any new legislation, as well as deliver a first class service to our clients.

This summer, HW Facilities have continued to support the Million Mile Clean. This initiative is led by Surfers Against Sewage, bringing volunteers together to clean miles of blue, green or city space each year. Surfers Against Sewage is one of our chosen charities this year.

Our most recent clean was at Morecambe Beach, on 12 August. After a day of hard work, the team of 10 volunteers picked up an amazing 46Kg of litter, and walked a combined 30Km!

HW Facilities are proud to announce that we have been selected as a finalist in the Sustainability – Best Practice (Service Provider) category at this year’s European Cleaning & Hygiene Awards!

With over 60 finalists across 11 categories, the competition is strong, and we’re honoured to be recognised among some of the industry’s most innovative and committed organisations.

The winners will be revealed at the gala dinner on Thursday, October 2, held at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

Reaching this stage is already a fantastic achievement, and we’re grateful to our team and partners who continue to drive sustainability forward every day. Thank you to everyone who’s supported us – we can’t wait to see what the evening brings!

CLEAN AIR DAY 2025 🌍 🍃⛅️💚

The biggest cause of air pollution is fossil fuel motor vehicles. Air Pollution has severe impacts on health, wildlife and the environment. We did not want to let this pass without doing something, as a company, to try and do our bit. So from tomorrow, and for the following week, we are setting our staff a CLEAN COMMUTE CHALLENGE and asking those who can to leave their cars at home and travel to work more cleanly (walk, cycle, public transport, car sharing).

Why not join in too? If you can't practically walk or get a ride to work, perhaps there are some other journeys that you make where you can think twice and LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME.

🚶‍♂️🏔️ On 6th June, a team from HW along with a few friends will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care.

Dorothy House is a local charity close to our hearts, providing exceptional, personalised end-of-life care to people in our community. Their work makes a profound difference to families during the most difficult times.
