CLEAN AIR DAY 2025 🌍 🍃⛅️💚

The biggest cause of air pollution is fossil fuel motor vehicles. Air Pollution has severe impacts on health, wildlife and the environment. We did not want to let this pass without doing something, as a company, to try and do our bit. So from tomorrow, and for the following week, we are setting our staff a CLEAN COMMUTE CHALLENGE and asking those who can to leave their cars at home and travel to work more cleanly (walk, cycle, public transport, car sharing).

Why not join in too? If you can't practically walk or get a ride to work, perhaps there are some other journeys that you make where you can think twice and LEAVE THE CAR AT HOME.

🚶‍♂️🏔️ On 6th June, a team from HW along with a few friends will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for Dorothy House Hospice Care.

Dorothy House is a local charity close to our hearts, providing exceptional, personalised end-of-life care to people in our community. Their work makes a profound difference to families during the most difficult times.

Every donation—big or small—will help ensure that compassionate care continues to reach those who need it most. 🙏 If you’re able to contribute or share our fundraiser, we’d be incredibly grateful.

The recent practice climb was successful, and we're looking forward to the Challenge in a few weeks!

Congratulations to Simon!

Since joining the HW family in 2022, Simon has proved himself to be an invaluable member of the team. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he has proven himself to be reliable at every turn.

Whenever he is thanked or praised, his response is always “I’m just doing my job”, but in truth, Simon always does more than “just his job”, not just for HW but for our clients too.

He stepped up to the challenge most recently when one of our clients was short-staffed and needed some dispensers fitted to the walls across several of her sites. Simon came to the rescue and fitted all the dispensers, with great feedback from the sites.

We couldn’t let his outstanding efforts go unrewarded any longer. He and his daughter are season ticket holders for Manchester United Ladies team so hospitality tickets for the local derby match in May against Manchester City seemed like the perfect gift.

We hope that Simon and his daughter enjoy the match & that they get to celebrate a victory for their team. Thank you, Simon, for your continued dedication and hard work – it is very much appreciated.

Join us in congratulating our colleagues Irina Serseniuc, Key Account Operations Manager, and Gifty Opare-Amoah, Site Manager at a Key Account on their recent achievements!

Irina has qualified as a BICSc Licensed Assessor, which means that she will be able to assess HW staff on their BICSc training and qualification journey. In order to qualify, Irina had to achieve her own Licence to Practice (LTP) and a minimum of 7 CPSS Skills.

Gifty has qualified as an accredited trainer, therefore being able to deliver comprehensive training to her team and cascade BICSc skills training knowledge.

This is the result of hard work, and dedication to delivering high quality service to our company and clients. Well done Irina and Gifty!

What an incredible day at The Cleaning Show! From start to finish, the event was packed with innovation, industry insights, and great conversations.

It was fantastic to see so many professionals coming together, sharing knowledge, and exploring the latest advancements in cleaning technology and solutions.

We had the opportunity to connect with industry experts, discover cutting-edge products, and gain valuable insights into the future of the cleaning sector. The energy throughout the event was inspiring, with live demonstrations, informative talks, and plenty of networking opportunities.

It was great to meet new faces and catch up with familiar ones. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
