⚠️ Covid-19 vaccine eligibility has changed this year
This autumn/winter, the COVID-19 vaccine is being offered to those at highest risk of serious illness—older people and anyone with a weakened immune system due to a health condition or treatment.
It’s possible to be eligible for a flu jab but not for COVID-19 this season.
You may be eligible if you:
• have or had blood cancer (leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma)
• have had an organ, bone marrow or stem cell transplant
• have HIV
• have a genetic immune disorder (e.g., SCID)
• are having or recently had chemotherapy, biological therapy or radiotherapy
• are taking steroid medicines (dose dependent)
• are on long-term immunosuppressive treatment for conditions such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, IBD, scleroderma or psoriasis
Not sure if you’re eligible? Speak to your GP practice to check.
