World No To***co Day - The Amazing Benefits of Quitting Smoking ๐Ÿšญ๐ŸŒ

Quitting smoking is one of the best things you can do for your health. Hereโ€™s what happens when you put out that last cigarette:

๐Ÿ•’ 20 minutes: Your pulse rate returns to normal.

๐Ÿ•— 8 hours: Your oxygen levels are returning to healthy levels.

๐Ÿ•‘ 48 hours: Your lungs start to clear out mucus, and your sense of smell and taste improve.

๐Ÿ•’ 72 hours: Youโ€™ll experience increased energy and improved breathing.

๐Ÿ“… 2-12 weeks: Your circulation and mobility will improve.

๐Ÿ“… 3-9 months: Any coughing or wheezing complications will reduce.

๐Ÿ“… 1 year: Your risk of a heart attack will be halved compared to active smokers.

Take the first step towards a healthier, smoke-free life today. Every moment counts! ๐Ÿ’ชโค๏ธ ***coDay

Epilepsy Week: Raise Awareness and Recognise the Symptoms ๐Ÿ“ข

This Epilepsy Week, let's come together to raise awareness and support those living with epilepsy. Understanding the symptoms is crucial for timely diagnosis and management. Be aware of the following signs:

๐Ÿ”น Uncontrollable jerking and shaking, called a "fit"
๐Ÿ”น Losing awareness and staring blankly into space
๐Ÿ”น Becoming stiff
๐Ÿ”น Strange sensations, such as a "rising" feeling in the tummy, unusual smells or tastes, and a tingling feeling in your arms or legs
๐Ÿ”น Collapsing

Knowledge is power. By recognising these symptoms, we can offer better support to those affected and help them lead healthier lives. Learn more: nhs.uk/conditions/epilepsy/

Mental Health Awareness Week ๐Ÿง

This week, we're focusing on ways to manage stress and improve mental well-being. Here are three simple tips to help you stay balanced:

Practice Mindfulness ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ: Take a few minutes each day to focus on your breathing and be present in the moment. Mindfulness can reduce stress and improve your overall mood.

Stay Active ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ: Regular physical activity, whether it's a walk in the park or a quick workout, can significantly reduce stress levels and boost your mood.

Connect with Others ๐Ÿค: Talking to friends, family, or a healthcare professional can provide support and help you manage stress. Donโ€™t hesitate to reach out.

Remember, taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health. If you're feeling overwhelmed, our team is here to support you.
