Today we're celebrating Paul's special day - and after 17 amazing years at The Manor House WSM it's safe to say we'd be lost without him!

"Paul is truly an integral part of life at The Manor House. He's always willing to lend a hand and nothing is ever too much trouble. His positivity is infectious - he brings a smile to everyone's face and keeps both staff and residents laughing with his good humour.
We are incredibly lucky to have such a dedicated, talented and genuinely uplifting maintenence man on our team. The Manor House wouldn't be the same without him".

From all of us here at The Manor House Nursing Home, we'd like to wish our residents, families, friends and supporters a very happy new year! ❤️

Reflecting back on 2025, we feel truly grateful for a year filled with precious memories, new connections and moments of joy shared between residents, staff, families and friends. We pause to honour and remember those we've lost - forever part of our Manor House family💛⭐️

As we step into this new year, we're feeling excited and inspired for everything that lies ahead. We're planning in involve families and friends even more and to continue building strong ties with our local community throughout 2026🤝🎶

🎶✨️Ringing in the new year (a day early)! At The Manor House WSM!✨️🎶

We got the celebrations started a little early this year with a fantastic performance from Jordan Sings: who treated our residents to a brilliant mix of hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s!💃🕺🎤

The music had everyone tapping their feet and clapping along - the perfect way to welcome in the new year together❤️

From all of us here at The Manor House, we'd like to wish our residents family and friends a very happy new year!❤️✨️

Here's to 2026 being filled with joy, laughter and plenty more music!🎆

🎵🎂 A Wonderful Saturday at The Manor House WSM🎂🎵

We may be a little late sharing this one (the festive season got the better of us!🎅✨️) but we couldn't miss the chance to look back on what was such a lovely day here at The Manor House.

On Saturday 20th December we were filled with music, laughter and celebration - the prefect way to mark the beginning of the Winter Solstice❄️✨️

The morning began with a visit from Weston super Mare Operatic Society youth group, The Oppitts, who performed a beautiful selection of Christmas carols that filled the house with festive cheer🎄🎶

Then, in the afternoon we had something extra special to celebrate Molly (one of our residents) birthday!🥳 Her family kindly organised a visit from Barry, who performed some fantastic crowd pleasing songs that had everyone clapping along💃🎶

The celebrations ended perfectly with residents and family members enjoying a delicious slice of birthday cake together🎂🎉

It was truly a day to remember - full of joy, music and community spirit❤️

🎉🎄The Manor House WSM Christmas Party!🎄🎉

What a day we've had here at The Manor House!❤️

We kicked off the celebrations with a visit from Donny the Elf (AKA Johnny Smyth Sings) who brought an abundance of Christmas cheer and a fair few terrible Christmas jokes that had everyone laughing!🤣🎅

Johnny performed a brilliant selection of classic Christmas songs, filling the home with music, singing and lots of smiles🎶✨️

To finish off the day, everyone enjoyed a delicious party food buffet for tea, followed by a lively game of pass the parcel - all accompanied by a well deserved glass of wine (or two)!🍷🎁

🎶🌟A festive treat at The Manor House WSM🌟🎶

This morning we were delighted to welcome Mini Concerts for their Countdown to Christmas show -and what a performance it was!🎄💫

Residents, families and staff all joined in with the Christmas songs and it was wonderful to see so many smiles and festive spirits in the room - with a few enjoying a cheeky Baileys or Gin and Tonic while they watched!🍸🎅

A huge thank you to Mini Concerts for bringing so much joy to The Manor House today!🎤🎅

Mini Concerts will be performing their Countdown to Christmas show.

🎉Friday 19th December at 10:30am
It's time for our Manor House Christmas party! Enjoy a festive performance from Johnny Smyth Sings plus party food and games to get everyone in the Christmas spirit.

🎵Saturday 20th December at 11am
The Oppitts Youth Group from the Weston super Mare Operatic Society will be joining us to sing beautiful Christmas carols.

We can't wait to celebrate with you all!

✨️🌲Christmas is in full swing here at The Manor House✨️🎄

We've been feeling the festive spirit with some wonderful visits so far - a huge thank you to Uphill Primary School for their beauiful petformance last week and to Westhaven School who joined us this morning with their cheerful Christmas songs🎶🎅

And the celebrations don't stop there...
Join us on Thursday 11th December for our Christmas Jumper Coffee Morning from 10am-12pm!☕️🧁
We'll be raising money for Save The Children, so dig out your best Christmas jumper and come along for a morning of festive fun, treats and community spirit!❤️

What an amazing Comedy Magic show we enjoyed with Richard Ballinger - so much so that we were too intrigued and giggly to remember to take many pictures! Residents and staff all got involved and had a thoroughly magical time.

Tony May and band came to the home with some fantastic live music - the staff and residents got involved and Patrick showed off his drumming skills, what a lovely way to enjoy an afternoon at the home. Thank you Tony & Co for some wonderful entertainment.

As we start the new year - we are looking forward to a wonderful 2025.
We are already booking lots of entertainment, and enjoying getting ready for the Chinese New Year with our lovely residents helping to make lanterns and all the animals in the Chinese zodiac.
