Our care home is designed to provide the best possible environment for people living with dementia. With a traditional setting and period features, our beautifully appointed home is located in the hillside area of Weston-super-Mare. Our person-centered philosophy, where service users are encouraged to participate in all areas of the home, seeks to provide the best opportunity to maintain independence and encourage stimulation.

August brought us so much happiness 💛
We loved getting creative with clay 🎨 — it’s amazing how it sparks our imagination and keeps our senses busy.
Spending time outdoors in the sunshine ☀️ made us feel brighter, lifted our mood, and even helped with better sleep.
And our special religious hours ⛪ gave us time to reflect and feel closer as a community.

Such a lovely month full of smiles, creativity, and togetherness 🌸✨

We are holding a MacMillian coffee morning fundraiser event at Butterfly House on Friday 26th September, in our Sunflower Lounge, starting at 11 am 🌻💚

We have decided to do this to show our support to one of our staff members who is currently fighting this battle. We will be baking cakes and sweet treats for you to purchase on the day with cash, via QR code or by making a donation using the link in the comments.
We hope you will be able to join us on the day, or if you would like to make a donation to MacMillian anyway, this would be really appreciated. ❤

Last week one of our residents had a wonderful time during community activities ✨❤️ The day became extra special when they met some much-loved characters from Star Wars 🌌🤝 Seeing the excitement and joy in that moment was truly heart-warming 💙

🎶 HEYYY! It’s all about music to start off August! 🎶❤️🌸

We kicked off the month with Music Week and our home was bursting with rhythm, laughter, and good vibes! 🥁🎤

Our amazing residents came together to play instruments, have a boogie, and enjoy the magic of music 💃🕺 The joy on everyone’s faces as they moved to the beat was just priceless!

One of the favourites this week? Our brand new parachute game 🌈 — full of colour, teamwork, and giggles! It brought everyone together in the most fun and creative way 💛💚💙

What a brilliant way to start August! 💫

Our residents have been making the most of this beautiful season with visits to parks, Stanley’s Garden and local garden centres! 🪻🌿🌷

Surrounded by vibrant flowers, peaceful paths, and the warm sun, everyone enjoyed relaxing walks, exploring plants, and even getting hands-on with some gardening activities back at home. 🧑‍🌾💐🌞

The joy of being outdoors, smelling fresh blossoms, and sharing moments together is what summer is all about here at Butterfly House! 🦋💛

From planting and watering to simply admiring nature’s colours, our residents have truly been blooming with happiness! 🌸🪴🧺
