I found this article interesting and thought provoking; it shows how our brains can be rewired by our interactions with others. And consequently, how our brains construct meaning from our experiences, and create emotions.
People have asked me "what's the point in counselling? in talking about what's been and gone?" Perhaps the answer lies in our brain chemistry. By having positive experiences with another person, in a safe and trusting relationship, we can create new, safer experiences, reprogram our brains and gain more clarity and control over our emotional responses.
