Not the most charming analogy but I enjoy it a lot! Your vaginal passage is built like the folds of an accordion... no flower analogies here thank you very much.
You're already made with all the expansion capability you need for your baby to make its way from the comfy home of your uterus over the short distance to your vaginal opening and into the world!
Understanding how your birthing body works is so important and this comparison really changed things for me!

Did you know that fear can cause tension in the body? Did you know that not only blocks the awesome hormones our bodies create to enable birth to happen but it also creates pain?.... then guess what... more pain = more fear = more tension = more pain. Hooray. We're now stuck in a loop.
Hypnobirthing is all about breaking down our fear of birth. To release us from that cycle!
